I am going with Owen by a TD. I really think HC is looking past Owen and on to the 3rd round when they will likely face off NCC. If OC comes out to play like I know they can, I believe they will take HC by surprise. I have a feeling Owen County's players are confident, but I am looking for HC's players to be OVERconfident. Looking forward to this match up.

I dont think they are looking past 11-0 and they definatly want another shot at NCC. HC is playing good and having fun at it. These kids are pushing harder now than at any time so far this year. I think they will end up giving Owen a lot more than thought anyone could give them. HC by a few.

Who could look past a team that hasn't been beaten all year? I doubt Owen will have anyone looking past them the rest of this season if they get past HC. Owen isn't underneath the HC radar, even with a potential NCC rematch lurking

If OC is pinning their hopes on HC looking past them I think they're going to be disappointed.

If you read the papers, Coach Koz of HC is very good at playing the underdog card. He will not let his team think for one moment that they can call it on autopilot Friday night. He uses such statements as "we're a team fighting for respect, fighting for an opportunity to play in big games" and "trying to get over a hurdle" in 2A. The fans might be overconfident, but not the players. Koz, utilizing his team captains, will be all over any comments made in practice that are contrary to the focused mood he wants to set for playoff time.

Holy Cross by 3 TDs to set up the rematch with NCC

Congrats on 11-0 but the OC schedule wasn't exactly killer. If HC plays their game they win by 2 or 3 scores.

I'll go with Owen in this one. I think they can play with Holy Cross.

Holy Cross didn't even start their program until 1998. Another thing to think about is the fact that since HC became relevant their second round games have been aganist NCC and Desales teams. So I would say these stats are misleading when talking about HC VS. Owen. Good stats though. :thumb:

Wow, I had no clue how great Fuller and Walker's numbers were.

Owen County's PA Announcer openly roots for the Rebels over the microphone. I look for Holy Cross to shut him up. HC by 3+ TD's.

The more I look at this game, the more I think it is going to be a real battle. I think both teams are underrated. Holy Cross IMO has one of the top two teams in their history. Owen County's schedule is tougher than some think and the scores tell me they are a good football team. However, I don't think they are good enough to beat a top shelf team like Holy Cross. The Holy Cross offense versus the Owen County defense should be a great match to watch but I think Holy Cross will get their points and get the win.

HC is more than OC can handle 35 to 14
