how is it down? You can see his numbers and top of face mask! If his head was down the way his body is positioned all you would see is very top of helmet and back side of it. From the pic it looks like it was an unfortunate hit, but not illegal. I don't know how anyone who has not seen the film can make an informed decision on the call. I'd have to see 92s whole bodymoving into the hit to get a hint of his intent

It is only by the grace of God that Towles did not get his neck broken on this play. I was trembling after watching the tape and I am not being overly dramatic. What is troubling is that the hit was a helmet to helmet hit in the back of the head while a player is sitting on the ground. What is more troubling is that there was an official at the four yard line five yards away from the play. He was facing the Highlands cheering section and looking directly at the play. The other official (white hat) #2 was standing at the 20 yard line and was totally focused on the play. I am asking something that I've never done before, but I think it's appropriate. I am asking my Bluegrasspreps brethren to put all of our petty differences aside and help me bring this to the attention of as many as possible. Anyone that can obtain a video of this play and either post it on You Tube or wherever, I would certainly appreciate it. My goal is that by circulating this play on the internet is that #1 these particular officials receive additional training in recognizing not only illegal but potentially paralyzing hits and #2 as a wake up call to all to show how when not played correctly, how dangerous this game can be.

I no longer give a darn about a holding call, a pass interference call, or offsides, but I do give a darn about the lack of enforcement of play that could have potentially not just ended a football career, but the basic bodily functions needed for everyday life.

I ask that you watch the play before supporting me or bashing me, that is all.

NO matter what the video shows 'CF' makes a revealing statement of the type of man(human being) he is...

The kid clearly led with his head and should be called out. Pt got twisted around and was on his way down literally inches from hitting the ground. So as far as it being late I'm not so sure. It was dirty though and had no place in the game. I would love to see the video as it was right near me but such a bang bang play when you see it live. Thank God PT is going to be fine with rest. Concussions are very serious as well as second impact syndrome. So I hope they take precautionary measures this week and possibly let McCoy play vs Ryle.

ok I finally saw the video on the game thread. The hit was not dirty, it was not really late, it was a blow to the head, but not intentional. IMO NOt sure if that should have been a penalty therefore, inconclusive evidence to overturn the 'lack of call' on the field. I just hope Towles is fine for next week.
