Was tonight a moral victory for Central?

Featured Replies

One play from beating X in OT. I say yes. What say you?

Moral victory with a "sting". It was how they lost is what made it painful to watch.

I don't know if I'd consider it a moral victory because they essentially lost cause of 2 blocked XP. They should have won...more of a missed opportunity IMO

I normally look at a moral victory as a game lost to a team that is better but you showed to better than what people believed. Central should have won. I think the says more about X than it does Central.

I can agree with that.

Agreed. This was a game Central should have won; they may have even been favored by some. To lose that close just hurts.

Yes.

Absolutely not. I know Coach Ty. He fully expects his team is physically able enough to beat St X. The fact that they did not do the little things to win the game will drive him crazy.

No. They went for the win.

And didn't they have the better record of the two?

3A school taking a Top 5-10 6A school to the wire and should have won. Heck yeah this is a moral victory. Yes St X is down by St X standards, but they're still a Top 10 6A school.

Are you all forgetting X was without 3 key starters? Starting quarterback Alex Mattingly, starting left guardd Joe Tobbe, and starting safety Garrett Underwood.

I'm on the fence; regardless, I actually thought that Central would win this game. Heartbreaker for the Yellow Jackets.

We can't forget because we are constantly reminded. I hope all are healed and at 100% for the next game

X is X anyway that you look at it so the answer to me is yes.

It shows they can go to toe to toe with most anyone in the state that is for sure. If that is the definition of a moral victory than I say yes it was.
