August 3, 201115 yr I start my very first teaching job tomorrow at East Carter High School. It has already been a long week and its only going to get longer. Saturday I may sleep in the entire day :lol:. And yes I'm excited even though I do not have kids.
August 3, 201115 yr JCPS start on the 15th. Thursday is football picture day and then that evening is "Camp Bulldawg". The Freshman kids get a dry run on lockers and rooms.

August 3, 201115 yr My high schoolers start on the 16th, my middle schooler and grade schooler on the 17th, my preschooler on Sept. 6th. Hate it starting. Hate being the bed-time police, the wake-up police, and the homework police!

No insider posts unless they come from an outside source.lol Good luck to you my friend, I think I'd enjoy it but I'd be nervous as hell. I don't think I could be a teacher, I'm just too cool for it; which means I'd probably get in trouble by doing something I should not.

August 3, 201115 yr I would prefer the kids stay in school for the first week or two un June, then start up again in late August. August temps are typically so much warmer than June.
