May 2, 201115 yr The world is little better off today. However, I am sure that he has a successor appointed to take over upon his death. I agree. I have a child traveling out of the country in a couple of weeks and this makes me a bit nervous. I have no doubt there will be retribution.

May 2, 201115 yr A couple things from my point of view: (I am as big of a Democrat as you can meet ... but ... something about this feels funny.) 1. Funny how you always hear that DNA testing takes 4 to 6 weeks (and often times longer). I am sure that in these situations there are exceptions ... but ... it makes me wonder. 2. When Sadam Husseins sons were killed many years ago ... those pictures were out nearly immediately following their deaths. Not that I want to see death pictures ... but I will have a hard time buying it until I see something a little more than the talk of politicians. At the end of the day ... the timing of this is extremely interesting (again--I am a hardline Dem).
May 2, 201115 yr No one ever said it wasn't a fact. Simply a completely unnecessary one in this thread, and one that attempts to needlessly turn this into a political debate. I do, his facts were wrong.
May 2, 201115 yr Twitter averaged 4k tweets PER SECOND last night when news of the death came out which is similar to the Super Bowl.

I am having trouble believing any possible conspiracy. It would seem that OBL would want nothing more than to have the US tell the world he's dead and then he prove that he's not. Seems like a huge risk for the US.
May 2, 201115 yr I do, his facts were wrong. I think UK was talking about how long the search went on under Bush. The rest westsiders' post/s are nothing more than his hatred for Bush. He has nothing to back up any of it and it is 100% his opinion.

If you need it in a hurry it can be done easily. Maury's daddy's usually only have to wait 48 hours, and I believe that is because they only tape every other day.
May 2, 201115 yr I'm not making it political at all ... simply stating a fact. Bottom line, our previous president didn't make capturing or killing bin Laden a high priority. This one did, and I, for one, am very happy about it.
May 2, 201115 yr Twitter averaged 4k tweets PER SECOND last night when news of the death came out which is similar to the Super Bowl. Read where some guy that lived close to the compound tweeted about helicopters and loud booms when it was going on. He had no idea what was happening.
May 2, 201115 yr We had troops on the ground in Afghanistan only a couple of hours after 9/11 but it takes 8 months to get Osama when we know where he is? Is it a case of worrying too much about what others will/do think?

I know Americans love conspiracies, but no way Obama would make that announcement if he wasnt sure.

May 2, 201115 yr President Obama passed on an option to bomb the compound with two stealth bombers because it would have reduced everything to rubble and he was concerned about collateral damage.
