I think UK was talking about how long the search went on under Bush. The rest westsiders' post/s are nothing more than his hatred for Bush. He has nothing to back up any of it and it is 100% his opinion.

I understand, but his "facts" as stated were off by at least 3 years and possibly as much as 6 years, depending on how you define looking for Bin Laden. We were aggressivley after him in August of 1998 and some reports had it as early as 1995. That of course also throws the percentage he put out there off also.

Anybody else wonder if our questionable methods of interrogation led to the hunt for the courier who eventually took us to Bin Laden?

Yes.

Of course.

Reuters is reporting a suspicious package at Times Square.

Gotcha. Didn't think of it along those lines.

I bet there's an interesting dynamic today.

Progressives are torn. Happy that OBL is dead but disappointed that it came about as it did and that many actions put in place by President Bush are still in place and contributed in some manner.

Anti-President Obama side has to be careful to not criticize the Commander-in-Chief but at the same time making sure that President Bush is credited.

Politics NEVER leaves the equation.

Absolutely. The information came in 2007 and we are all pretty aware of the tatics taking place then and probably still now, official or not.

Anything more to this?

Isn't that the truth? I imagine there are all sorts of meetings going on how best to play it up or minimize it without seeming too partisan.

For the record this will have zero impact on the 2012 election.

That also happened last year at Times Square on May 1st as well. Interesting.

So we didn't tell the Pakistanis until the very end.

How did we fly helicopters unbeknownst to them?

Under the radar. And everyone knows you can't hear the black helecopters. :thumb:
