Looks like DeSean will be in uniform for the Bulldogs tonight.

I'm happy for the kid if true. We (adults) get too hung up on things at times. If Peterson playing for Dixie results in Dixie beating Highlands, I'll be disappointed that we lost, but glad for the kid. Kids only have a few short and fast years to play high school sports. I hate it when they lose that opportunity for any reason.

You did see that Peterson is playing for the Bulldogs (Holmes) and not Dixie, right? Your comment seemed to say you thought he was still at Dixie.

So is he a Sophomore or Junior now after missing a good portion of school last year?

Not sure about academics but he is in his 3rd year of high school eligibility.

So, are Dixie's academic standards higher than Holmes or the state? I read in an article the other day that he was listed on Holmes roster because he was academically eligible to play for (or possibly enroll) at Dixie.

Unbelievable!

Enrolled at Dixie, yes. Actually attendance at Dixie? And credits?

I think someone waived a magic wand in Covington and got it all straightened out

No I didn't realize that. Totally missed that he was back at Holmes. Ooops. Oh well, best wishes to the kid regardless of where he plays. Thanks for straightening me. I had no idea Peterson was back at Holmes.

I just read about this in the paper. I am shocked he is eligible.

What happened between April and now that resulted in him being back at Holmes and eligible?

A lot of work....

Does anyone feel bad for the kid? It seems like he has gotten some bad info along the way. Hopefully he can get on track and has a fairytale ending.

The kid was enrolled at Dixie for 31 days. He was abscent 23 of those, and of the 8 he was there he left class and had someone pick him up, without telling any faculty, during school hours. HMMMMMMMMM!

A lot of work....

Some of you really need to give this kid a break and just be happy that he is trying to better himself, regardless of where it is.

You have no clue what's going on in this kids life and what he's been through the past 8 months at home.
