Just my opinion. This thread should be closed. I don't think there is any place for this kid's personal life to be discussed on a public forum. Life is complicated and people go through tough times, let this child and his family figure it out in private.

I agree 100%. If he enrolls/transfers to another school then we can discuss that. I am in agreement with RE that the general BGP public is not the appropriate place to discuss a 16 year old's personal details.

One month aftert this thread was started about Desean Peterson going to Dixie, he is finally enrolled at Dixie Heights and attending classes. Today is his first day.

He does not live in Dixie's district!!!

How are you so sure? Word going around Dixie is that after school today he has to go home and help his family move in.

Open enrollment?

Ain't gonna happen, no way in a million years.

Maybe he can then get another year of eligibility.

So are we to understand that the young man hasn't been in school since about mid-February?

I'd love to know what this kid has been doing for a month? Isnt it against the law to NOT go to school?

Not if your older than 16 I thought.

The good news is, it sounds like he's back to school and continuing his education ...hopefully everything works out for the young man.

I Heard He Got Kicked Out OF Holmes So He Won"t Be Eligible To Play This Year At Dixie.

Enough with the he's not eligible to play this year stuff. In fact he wasnt planning on playing this year anyone, he was going to play next year. And the reason I KNOW he is eligible is because I talked to Mr. Ken Chevalier and he said he talked to Desean today and he was planning on playing both basketball and football next year. I asked if he was eligible and he said yes he is.

Egg on the face!!! Here it comes. Red Colonels better duck!

With Goose Cohorn and Desean Peterson catching balls for Pike this season Dixie could be putting up big numbers on offense this year. Those two were already the top 2 recievers returning this year IMO. Now they're playing on the same team together?

Neither did the Bruns boys two ago when they transfered to Highlands at first. Everyone knew that situation.
