I got this from an excellent source:

"A lot of people are speculating about Desean. Maybe you could set the record straight by saying that he's a pretty good kid with a GPA of 2.6 in his 1.5 years at Holmes. His timing to transfer worked out pretty well, considering we are on trimesters. He does have a legitimate move."

Or not.

At this point who really cares as long as they figure out a way to get him eligible. Lol I've seen it before all over Nky.

As long as he maintains at least a 2.5 GPA in High School and scores decently well on his ACT, he won't have issues with colleges. A 2.6 GPA at Holmes is a good start but school only gets harder from here on in.

I want to clarify one thing, at this point Peterson is NOT eligible and it has to go through the KHSAA transfer process which by bylaw is subjective so anything is possible.

Ru, you are correct that By law 6 does have some language that is subjective (particularly the athletic intent provision). But I do want to add that in my opinion (which is also pretty subjective), since the KHSAA changed the transfer process procedures a year or so ago, the KHSAA has done a much better job in digging into the facts and making better decisions on those facts. Perfect? No, probably not. But the KHSAA is doing a much better job on these decisions than they used to before they changed the process. With that, I hope you can agree.

Interesting how the best WR in NKY ends up enrolled at the school with a top QB like Pike. There are a couple other schools in the Kenton County district aren't there? Just saying.

SK will still beat Dixie!

If the source is correct, and it is a legitimate move, it shouldn't matter. If he legitimately moves into the Kenton Co. district, then he gets to pick and choose.

Geeez Loooeeezz! With as much scrutiny on this kid that has been on this site, you'd think the young man was the Second Coming. I dare to think if the young man had gone to some other school that had a little more success in football, this wouldn't get near the attention it has gotten so far.

While many on here will say race does not matter, but if you were a black kid, would you rather go to Scott, SK or Dixie? None of the three are exactly the most diverse schools in the area, but Dixie would be the most logical.

If you want to discuss any racial overtones on this (or any) topic please start a thread in the Hot Topics Forum.

Ok Whatever

SK will still beat Dixie!

Looks like DeSean will be in uniform for the Bulldogs tonight.
