After finally having a couple of hours (:lol:) to read through the email, I am not sure what all the uproar is about. The assumed parent who wrote it was supportive of CCH, the team and even said let's put all things aside and get focused on winning this season. Yes, he/she did make some negative comments about Coach L but everyone has their opinion and the email was as much about finishing this season strong as it was bashing the Coach.

 

Bottom line for me after reading it, IMO it is a parent of an underclassman who is upset about playing time. When you go to a school like CCH, you have to face the fact that competition is very stiff and playing time will be hard to find. Only 6 or 7 guys are going to get a lot of PT and the talent pool at a CCH, Holmes, Boone, is such that you should be happy to make the team. If you are not a clear star and want PT your sophomore year, CCH and top level bigger schools are not the place to go. If you are not the star level player, you work hard and hope to get some PT by senior year. That's just the way it is at the top schools.

I agree 100%! I don't see it as a big deal and also see a lot of the positives and support for CCH. I think too many people want to always veer towards thinking negative about such emails and do not try to understand the INTENT of the email, and just read them with an open mind.

 

BTW, I would like to buy the first book that this person writes, it was written very well.

This sounds like it came from a politician. Politicians seem to send or promote anonymously during campaigns. An unnamed source created by factitious email address.

It's pretty much died down and gone away. Most have a pretty good idea of its origin.

Every program in the state gets the "strongly worded email" at some point and usually it is anonymous (amazing how opinionated people are when their signature isn't included). If you have 15 players and only 5 can be on the floor, then 10 are unhappy. The fact that this is a topic right before districts is clearly not in the best interest of the team at all.

My first question is: What discipline measures where taken with the 3 or 4 kids for getting into a VERBAL HEATED ARGUEMENT with the coach? That shows the problem right there with the kids. I don't know what the arguement was about or anything like that, but i do know that no player/student/kid should ever get into a VERBAL HEATED ARGUEMENT with a coach/teacher/parent. They should control their emotions and have RESPECT for the adult and talk with him in a calm manner. THat shows the problem with today's youth, they think they have the right to do this and not have consequences!! They might have been right in their point or he could have been right, I DONT KNOW and DONT THINK THAT IT MATTERS. Show RESPECT for the adult and do what he ask unless it could possibly hurt you.
