It has no effect - positive or negative IMO.

 

It's pretty much died down and gone away. Most have a pretty good idea of its origin.

 

Clyde - I can personally tell you that the person accused of writing the email absolutely had nothing to do with it. Some of you may know who wrote it but you are all very wrong. The person that wrote the email will come out after the season and the person being accused will be vindicated.

Not my intent at all. Not the way I do things. I've seen the e mail and the pontification is pretty extensive. Heck, I'm surprised no one has accused me of being the author.

 

In my opinion, it's a pretty cruddy e mail and the author shouldn't have sent the email. There is a way to handle disagreements with a coach (justified or unjustified disagreements) and sending out that type of e mail is definitely not the way. I'm pulling for Highlands as you know, but if they don't win the region, I want CovCath to win it as a result of the e mail. Hopefully the kids will be rewarded for pulling together and not letting that garbage tear them apart. The only bad thing is if CovCath does win the region, the author will want the e mail to get credit for it happening.

Will charges be filed? What if the grand jury comes down with an indictment before the end of the season? :popcorn:

Seriously though I do agree with your points here LN :thumb: The coaches and players at Cov Cath deserve all the credit in the world for not letting it distract them from their goals thus far and I too hope they win Region!

I can't believe that this is such a shocker. These things go on all of the time, successful or not, you can't please everyone. Parents have been empowered in influencing administrative decisions so why should they hold back when they feel they have an issue. It is the administrations job to squash it. I hope they have the backbone but it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't.

I know who didn't write the email. It is unfortunate that one persons name continues to come up in Listerman's circle just because he is a very involved alumni of the school and happens to have a son on the team. There is a small group of people that know who wrote the email. I hope that the person that wrote the email comes forward so that those that didn't can stop having to answer questions from the school's administration, parents and people from other schools. There are issues within the basketball program that needs to be addressed but dirty laundry should not be aired publicly.

What's most interesting is that it was only sent to the varsity basketball players parents currently on the CCH basketball team this year. Someone within that group is the one that sent it to the masses and how it was seen throughout NKY. Someone must have thought it was worthwhile for others outside the CCH basketball program to read it and respond accordingly. The person that wrote the email could not have expected that it would have been circulated like it was.

At least that is my understanding. Now if you are asking whether people throughout NKY will ever know - that's another story. But really it isn't anyone eleses business. The author was a fool if he/she thought it wasn't getting out. He/she made it easier when they failed to take ownership of it.

Sadly, the author should have had enough knowledge to know that if you have a problem you go see Bob Rowe. You don't send an anonymous email first. I can't imagine that a principal is going to be overly sympathetic to someone who took this route.
