I think you should be ashamed of yourself for starting this thread. Go get your jollies from the Soap Opera's. This is not X's and O's this is rumors and gutter talk and should have no place here. I also think that anyone that would post a letter from a disgruntled parent on this forum should be banned. That is what I think.

I am glad I don't care what you think..Trust me I didn't ask to get the email. I just thought people should know what is going on in Park Hills..You guys might want to control your own if you don't want your laundry put out there..

Funny RB, but I haven't seen you at one practice this entire year but you seem to know more than me!

It's also funny that I haven't seen more than one or two varsity parents at any CovCath practice all year long.

Coach "T" came to practice today and Coach L arm is in a bionic sling!

Oh BTW RB practice went very well today and I stayed an extra 20/25 minutes with one of the boy's chasing and feeding him the ball, so he could get some extra shooting practice in.

OG it's not about RB. One of YOUR own is throwing YOUR coach under the bus. I know everything is fantastic in Park Hills..You CovCath homers crack me up..

I received the email and believe that while many of you believe that it was a bashing session on Listerman I viewed it that with all of the turmoil currently with this team that a parent has great concerns that the season is getting away from the team. Maybe I was looking at it with optimism but it didn't kill Listerman like many of you are stating. I also don't agree with the heated arguments between the coach and his players - they are simply rumors. I think this should be left alone and let the CCH Colonels finish the year on a high note.

Believe it or not TOG there are some parents who actually have to work and there are others who actually believe in giving the kids and the coaches some space. If I coached a team it would be me, the other coaches and players and that would be it. Why would any coach ever allow others into his practice? My parents made a handful of GAMES my 4 years at high school and even less in college. They were busting their hump so I could do these things!!!!

That is my reply to TOG who, while I don't post often, I read a lot and admire his love of CCH. Just not on this one. As for my reply to this thread, I will say it's extremely ignorant and I think some people have very little to do in life. Try getting one.

I saw the email and I clearly think it is a disgruntled parent who is hanging onto a dream of their own and not the kid's best interest. Let the coaches coach and the players play and if things dont work out for you or your son then life goes on. Unless your son is a clear College caliber player who is being wronged then teach him to deal with the adversity and not take the route of getting into arguments with the coach.

I do think they were trying to turn it into a positive message at the end but at the same time it was clearly bashing Coach L and has no place in HS sports. If you have issues take them up with the principal or AD and then schedule a meeting with the coach with all present. Sending a blind email to all the parents is pretty stupid and useless.

This whole thread is ridiculous. The whole email ordeal is between the sender and Covington Catholic Basketball. This needs to be closed.

If people should know what is going on, shouldn't they email or call the AD or principal?

I read the email. I wouldn't even call it an email....Id call it a book. I couldn't believe how much was written. So much non-sense and excessive use of words. Lots of time and thought must have went into this. Its really was kind of depressing to think a person/parents putting a kid and a program through this. I feel embarrassed for everyone involved.

Really I found it quite laughable and couldn't believe anyone would have the guts to send something like this to the administration. Then the funniest part about all of this is just yesterday the thread was started "Toughest Fans To Please" ding ding ding......we have a winner!!!!!

My first question is: What discipline measures where taken with the 3 or 4 kids for getting into a VERBAL HEATED ARGUEMENT with the coach? That shows the problem right there with the kids. I don't know what the arguement was about or anything like that, but i do know that no player/student/kid should ever get into a VERBAL HEATED ARGUEMENT with a coach/teacher/parent. They should control their emotions and have RESPECT for the adult and talk with him in a calm manner. THat shows the problem with today's youth, they think they have the right to do this and not have consequences!! They might have been right in their point or he could have been right, I DONT KNOW and DONT THINK THAT IT MATTERS. Show RESPECT for the adult and do what he ask unless it could possibly hurt you.

BUT, do you know who are the one being verbal? Or who started it? That is what most do not know! As much as you say that a player should never get into a verbal heated arguement, shouldn't the same be expected of a coach? It is unfair without know the details to just blame the 3 or 4 players. And in fact, if it involved not one, not even two, but 3 or 4? That should lead people to believe that it's possibly isn't a problem with players. One or maybe two players? I could possibly understand.

This is a sports website, why not? Why is it okay for talk about other schools and all, but when it hits home then it's said the thread shouldn't be started?

If people want a thread to "move on", then people coming on and talking about how the letter was non-sense and shouldn't have been sent it's helping it go away.

C'mon man. You're not serious. And, they had the email addresses of all the parents. This thread should be shut down immediately.

You do not think the parents email addresses are not out there? I think it is entirely possible someone forwarded an email to someone containing all the addresses. I just struggle believing a parent would cause this big of distraction to the boys at this point of the season. What would they hope to accomplish?

Im sure the ones wanting this dismissed arw embarrassed by it as I would be.

I agree it is embarassing, but it also makes me upset that someone supposedly close to the program would add these distractions at this point in the season.

As a total outsider looking in, has anyone considered that maybe the players aren't playing up to their potential or that they may not be as good as advertised early in the season? When a team starts the season with high expetations and don't live up to them the Coach is always the first to take the heat. As it should be. However, the players play the game and they should share the burden of a disappointing season.
