The way this email was written and the and the fact that they had the emails of all the parents makes me believe it was an adult but that is just my opinion. As far as how they handled it, maybe it's entirely possible that they addressed it with the coach or the administration and it fell on deaf ears. As for those that are piling on RB, no doubt he is stirring the pot but if the shoe was on the opposite foot, the entire city of Park Hills would be doing the same thing if this were Highlands and Dale Mueller we were talking about. Maybe one day when they lose more than one game during a season you will get your shot.

I think you should be ashamed of yourself for starting this thread. Go get your jollies from the Soap Opera's. This is not X's and O's this is rumors and gutter talk and should have no place here. I also think that anyone that would post a letter from a disgruntled parent on this forum should be banned. That is what I think.

 

You are 100% correct, Scout. I also agree with the previous post that the writer(s) of this email are cowards. What parent, if they have a problem with the coach or simply want to air something out...doesn't ask to talk to the coach? I haven't seen the email and I don't want to. Yes, I have heard bits and pieces of it and it sounds like it was a 'book' and the person who told me about it described it as a sad, sad and bitter disgruntled parent. And that the email is designed to bring everyone down with them. No class, selfish, immature and inappropriate. I believe the writer should beware...in this day and age of technology...there are no 'anonymous' emails so maybe you should just come clean now and then let's shut down this thread!

I am glad to see someone is thinking how I am on this one. Could this be, just maybe a smoke screen to get the team fired up? Back in the day when I played football at Highlands, our coach use to fake heart attacks in Death Valley to get us motivated. Yes, coaches, alumn, etc will do ANYTHING at whatever expense (starting the mud slinging on a public forum between their own) just to get the kids fired up and make a run at the end. And if the person that wrote this did it for reasons that people on here will never understand then guess what (the writer doesnt really care if anyone likes it) if this person did it for all of the sick but right reasons then so be it.

 

I personally know and have a great deal of respect for the good human being that Coach Listerman is, he and I have had our disagreements in the past and guess what? He was always right.

As stated above I know Coach L and when I had a run in with him, Mommie and Daddie didnt write letters or call him on the phone. Or maybe they did, and thats why I got cut from the basketball team. And this is why I have the respect for him, because I never picked a ball up again and moved in another direction and it worked out to be better for me and I thank him today for that.

Can anyone say that their program doesn't have this happening at some level? Coaches are paid to make decisions and they do that. It is bound to make some unhappy. Most of the players on CCH varsity bench would be starting in most programs around the 9th (imo) which makes it very tough on the parents, players and even the coaches. You got 32 minutes and 5 play at a time so you are bound to have some unhappy campers. Add a rough spell of games to that and you get "the email". It really is unfortunate. I look for the players to overcome this, I think we saw it against #1 Dixie in a close game with players high fiving and chest pumping. Go get em CCH.

I call for a "big group hug", and we put this nonsense to bed. Parents who live vicariously through their children have no place in high school sports.
