Yeagle officially resigns at Beechwood

Featured Replies

This same thing could be said for probably 10-15 coaches around the state, if not more. He certainly is on a very short list. I would hate to follow him.

That can be said for every coach in the state. Players are going to say what they want about their coach. Yeagle has the success to back it up though. It has been an awesome run for him. Coach thank you for what you did for the Beechwood program. You took it to a whole new level.. I'm just like one of many players who got to play under him and feel the same way.

Thanks for the link. I had a feeling this time was coming, but I'm sad to see it. All I can say for now is my absolute best goes to coach Yeagle. What you did at Beechwood was amazing. It will never be forgotten, and the kids you've helped will never forget how much playing in your program meant to them. Heck, many of the kids you may have beaten over the years may very well also feel touched by you. I wish I could say more, but I wouldn't know where to start.

VERY sad to see him go. Hope to see you soon Coach...

Maybe@ a Louisville School????

Sticking to Yeagle topic, with a 14 point lead, he didn't lose too many-if any at all. Especially to a team with Mayfield's minimal passing attack.

I might add that Mayfield was without its starting QB at the time. In the first quarter the starter went out and a 2nd stringer with virtually no experience had to step in. Yeagle had Mayfield on the ropes espically with the qb situation. The thing about that game that amazed me was I still to this day think Mayfield had better talent overall but Yeagles game plan was awsome. he realized mayfield had a weak and little tested 2ndary and he knew he had the weapons to attack the Cards and he did with so with a great game plan. By the time it was over I was just thankful for the win and left with great respect for Yeagle. That day I think he almost did more with less. Though he did have way more at the QB and reciever positions, man that Beechwood QB and a couple of recievers could catch it all including the kitchen sink.

Beechwood will greatly miss yeagle but I think the program is so solid that it will remain one of the class A elite teams. Mayfield's situation is similar, the current coach had to follow 2 behind him who both won more than 1 state title and the current coach already has one title. Danville has also won titles in the last 20 or so years under two different coaches.

I don't think many will attempt to. Too tough of an act to follow!

I think you would be surprised in the intrest.

Very doubtful. If he ever coaches again, and that is a big "IF", it will be locally. ;)

Ending one of the great runs in KY High School football. 15 seasons, 8 Class A titles and 3 Class A Runner ups (11 Championship appearances in 15 seasons...AMAZING) Best of Luck in whatever you do, coach.

Ended many a promising football season for my 'Breds over the years, and caused much pain and agony for me during my 4 years there... but I have tons of respect and admiration for the man.

Flat out owned Bob Schneider's soul. I haven't seen anything like that... ever.

Good luck in the future Yeagle, you no doubt made an impression on me.

I would think there is a huge interest but who knows.

Is there a reasaon that Coach Yeagle would rule out a Louisville Team??

The Jaggers family may disagree with you on that one.

Jaggers can't match his record

What if......

Schneider retires and Yeagle decided to take over at NCC, deciding its time to try his hand at a private school. Wouldn't this be the equal to Pitino going to Louisville

The accomplishments by Beechwood under Coach Yeagle are mind boggling. Is he headed for the college ranks? Would love to see a man like him at UK. (to join Coach Smith from Boyle Co.)

Would be very nice! But more than likely will remain a what if...

I have been told bye some people that this is Burnetts job to take.

But would he need to be an assistant coach? I don't think that's his style, and I don't think he could build a college team into a powerhouse like he could and did to a high school team. Not saying that he wouldn't be a great coach for at the college level, just in high school, you can still shape the players into better football players and better people more than you can at the college level. Regardless, I'm sure that he'll be successful in whatever he decides to do, there's no doubt in my mind :thumb:
