I have heard, but don't think I am at liberty to discuss due to death by the Guru, he may end up somewhere close. But even that is just heresay.

I'm guessing I heard the same. Keeping quiet stinks...

I'm happy with Tom. If Yeagle came here it would change too much for me. I like our offense, and defense. ST's need work, and an offensive coordinator would be nice, but I can't see giving up what we have become accustomed to for Mike Yeagle and the changes to our program that would come with him. I love him as a coach, but wouldn't trade Tom for the world. If he was not our coach, then heck yeah, I'd grab Yeagle in a minute. But he still is, so no thank you. I realize that some of you won't understand this post, and will think I'm crazy to pass on Yeagle if he wanted to be here, but as an insider of the Dixie program, I believe whole heartedly that he could not do a better job then the current staff we have. Just my opinion. ;)

Not saying you shouldn't be happy with Tom. Who wouldn't be happy with Tom, he's a Bluebird  But if Tom wanted to concentrate on other responsibilities, Yeagle would be a nice replacement :ylsuper: And I'd love to see if he could get it done in AAAA like he got it done in A. It would make some interesting debates on here if he wasn't nearly as successful in AAAA as he was in A now wouldn't it? And maybe even more interesting debates if he did get it done like he did in A. I'm curious, does anyone know how he feels about Proposal 20 and how strongly he feels about it? If he is dead set and steadfast against it, perhaps he just might go to a AAAA public school to try and prove that with the right committment from team, players, parents and admin, those awful Catholics in Louisville with all their advantages can still be beaten. Just a thought...Mike are you hearing me?

If it happens for the reasons you laid out, then I would welcome it. I'm sure any such move would be Tom's choice anyway. So with that said, welcome aboard coach. :D

SPORTSFAN25, why do you say this is Burnetts job. He is the AD and would he be able to hold both positions. I feel the other candidate for this job is Coach Noel Rash who has been at Beechwood for some time now. It will be interesting who they name. For Coach Yeagle a very good coach and friend and I only wish him the best in his endeavors and I hope we all see him back in the near future wherever it may be. Good Luck Coach Yeagle. JD

JD I'm just going bye what people have told me that is all.

I have heard the samething I would guess, that he will be someplace close and I can't wait to talk about the impact it will have if its true. I am told that it is a done deal but we will see. I can't wait till this breaks.

Another side of this, who will be some of the top coaches looking at this job from outside the school? Will any of the NKY coaches change schools to get a top program? Will any of the 4A guys leave for a chance to win a state championship? I honestly believe that as long as NKY 4A is paired with the Trinity district, we will always end up on the short side of the scoreboard. 1A or 3A are the best places to win championships for NKY IMO.

He got a raw deal at Beechwood and that isn't right. The man graduated from there and he coached there. It wasn't right the way the school treated him. I hope if he gets another job it is at a Class A school to put right in Beechwood's face.

Not really, 1A is not 4A, and I know where our kids begin the season and where they end up. No disrespect to you or Mike Yeagle, I just think 4A might be a little tuffer to coach a team from NKY to a state title than it is in 1A. Spritzky and company are doing all the right things, I don't believe that Yeagle would do any better. With that said, if Tom retires tommorrow I hope Mr. Yeagle put's in an application. :D

I think he would get the players who are deciding between Beechwood,Dixie and Cov Cath. 4A is a lot tuffer but I can see him doing a better job. He is a proven state title winner. Tom is a great coach but I think that Mike would do a better job.

A raw deal?

A raw deal?

I have been told bye many many Beechwood people that the Glenn Miller wanted him out so if that is the case he got a raw deal.

SPORTSFAN25, I agree he got a bad deal and the law suit took everything out of the man. Then he had a bout with an illness and then it seemed Beechwood turned their back on him. I really don't know what happened however, wherever Coach Yeagle ends up he will make them a winner. I know Coach Burnette replaced him two years ago however, I feel it is time for Coach Rash to get his opportunity. I wish them all three the best of luck whatever happens here. JD

I don't know who you are referring to when you say "Beechwood". But the Beechwood people I know, never turned their backs on him.

Maybe during the lawsuit they were a little less than 100% on board. However, recently Bob Burnett has been his biggest supporter and wanted him to stay on. As for getting his teaching job back, there was no position available for him, Mike resigned. I wish Coach Yeagle the best, but for some to state that he is involved with other schools at this point may be a bit premature.
