November 17, 201015 yr Nice start for the Cards. The stress of the game looked like it really got to Stevens, he almost looked old enough to drink by the end of the game.
November 17, 201015 yr Cards looked decent tonight. I think if Butler would have put two halves together, they could have stayed in this one. Would like to see a rematch in March. Justice got lots of PT and he looked good out there. He and Mack represented the Blue Grass state VERY well. Has Justice always been that big? His arms are tree trunks. The YUM Center looks very nice. I can't wait to see UK play there in March of 2012 as a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Finally!

Justice got a lot stronger between his junior and senior year, and looks like he's kept with what's been working. At his height, he'll need that extra strength to be able to contribute in BE play.
November 17, 201015 yr Very impressed w/ UL tonight. Effort was excellent & defense was suffocating at times. And Justice far outplayed Siva.
November 17, 201015 yr Has Justice always been that big? His arms are tree trunks. Justice has always had a great work ethic on his game and in the weight room. He got alot of PT tonight, in large part due to Siva's foul trouble, but looked pretty comfortable given it was his first official college game and it was on ESPN. The FT's were a little shaky at the end, but that's entirely understandable. I couldn't be happier for the kid and his family that he had a successful debut... It's pretty clear that Pitino is already comfortable with the ball in Justice's hands.

That's exactl what I texted to my buddy, who is a UL fan. The Cards looked much better without Samuels, Sosa & Smith. I was never overly impressed with any of the 3. If Buckles can play anywhere close to the level that he played on tonight, UL is in for a fun year.

GRC's coach was sitting right behind the bench so I should get a full report on how Preston is today at shcool. He has not practiced much all week due to a thigh bruse and reason he didn't start.

November 17, 201015 yr Had Howard not committed those two fouls early in the first half, it would have been a different game. It was great to see Justice get quality minutes for the Cards though.
