Billy Lyon never played Middle Backer. He played JV as a sophomore. Alternated at TE as a Junior. Played offensive and defensive tackle as a senior and he never was a first team all conference selection. So once again the drywall dust has clouded your brain. Billy is an old friend of mine and he will tell you he didn't blossom until Marshall.

Kremer lead a team who on defense had three or four first team all-state player and two or three second team all-state player was the first team to be ranked in Kentucky in USA top 25.

Very similiar to Jerry "Zeke" Reynolds at Highlands. I don't think he even started at Highlands, sat out a year after graduation, had surgery on his foot, went to UNLV, then played in the NFL.

It's kind of cool, the birds have the 3rd and 4th leading tackler(Marty Moore) in Kentucky history.

Those mid to late 90's teams at Lloyd were great to watch, Sheffield, Gregory, Shaun Brown, Carlata, I had a blast going to those games watching those guys. The days of Rudy Tassini!

John Schlarman? If there has been a more athletic lineman in nky i'd like to know who. Not saying there hasn't been, but I haven't seen one. What he did at UK was phenomenal, plus he had like 7 major knee surgery's in 4 years and missed 1 game. And knee surgery's weren't like they are now. He had some serious heart!
