Beechwood- Scott Tackett may have been the Tigers best RB. I'm going back quite awhile so if any of you beechwood fans remember is there any arguments on this one?

My brother is good friends with Jelani. Another good player from Lloyd was Billy Lyon he was 6'5 280 pounds and played middle linebacker. He played college ball at Marshall and played for the Green Bay Packers backing up Reggie White.

Can't argue what I haven't seen. I will say that if he was better than Brandon Berger, then he was not just great but amazing. Berger was the man.

He graduated in either 1979 or 1980. Bailie Morlidge.

I saw Tacket play and he was a beast and much bigger and better than Brandon Berger. Just ask the Guru. : )

 

Berger was a very good football player mind you. It was his Jr year I believe that Bellevue visited Edgar McNabb field and beat the Beechies in the Regional finals of playoffs and Mr. Berger was not a happy camper marching up the driveway to the locker room.

If so, he holds several different records at Holmes from his playing days.

How about Bill Vogt of NewCath and George Rudd of Boone. They both went on to play college ball although I believe Rudd left school after 1 semester at UK.

Jimmy Lokesak of Ludlow was a pretty fair back. Went on to play at UK. I'm surprised Ludlow didn't rename the city after him! LOL!

James Hayes was the man at holmes. He put about 290 on Highlands his senior year. Should've played at UC but didn't go, can't remember why?

Two good ones, Billy went on to play at Morehead and George was a very hard runner for Boone County but I didn't know where he went to college. Billy went on to play DB in college and I think the starting QB for Morehead was Phil Simms when Billy was a freshman. Two different type of runners, George would run over you and Billy would make you look silly when you would attempt to tackle him.

Not as old as alot of you guys on here but love hearing the stories.
