Those questions were too easy ,can't see how anyone didn't score 15/15 .

 

Well, I will be the first to admit that I'm no Biblical scholar, so I missed one of those. I also am not 100% up on what public schools can/can't do with regard to the Bible, so I missed one of those questions. And to be honest, the reason I chose private schools for my kids was because I believe that academics with a religious influence is so important that I never really took the time to learn the exact limits/allowances in the public schools. So, that's how I missed the two that I missed. The only one I'm ashamed of missing was the Biblical question.

 

And I can't understand how anyone missed the Jewish Sabbath question, given the answer is in the Bible. How can you know the Bible so well and miss the Sabbath question?

I don't undertand how anyone missed the public school questions, given it's discussed in this forum ad nauseum. How can you be a P&R junkie and miss a question on First Ammendment rights?

15/15, with only one religion course on my transcript...one that I loved, though!

I took this quiz when it came out Monday and scored 15/15... but then, I have spent a lot of time reading and trying to understand what I need to believe... and why others believe what they do.

 

It goes back to the 80-some percent we hear all the time that claim to believe in God... but when we actually see what it is they believe or genuinely understand... that 80+ percent might actually be less than 40%. Not suggesting that anyone needs to be a religious scholar to believe in or have a relationship with God... in fact, I believe that a genuine relationship with God trumps all the book knowledge anyone could attain.

 

I guess my point is, our relationship with God and our understanding why we believe what we believe is the very most important thing any of us could put our attention to... but for the most part... we don't. God is nowhere near "first place" in most of our lives. He should be. ( I'm preaching at myself first here... )

 

Fastbreak, do you recall the evolution debates (plus other religion related topics) that you had a few years ago with Francis Bavier? Those were some of the most well thought out discussions that I have seen on this board.:thumb: Reading your comment here reminded me of those debates.
