Are you calling me fat?!?!:irked:

Gotta love the self appreciation threads! Don't get me wrong- love me some Bluebirds but would like to go a few days without the usual 'Highlands is Great, Ryle is better than SK and SK is better than Ryle' threads.

Is it too early to discuss who the contenders to knock of FTH in the 2011 season after they have won the 2010 title?

In the meantime- Go 'Birds!

Are you calling me fat?!?!:irked:

I think he is talking about another JB..LOL

I'm sorry but that is great stuff right there.

Oh, yeah, who is the "us" again. It seems to be more of the "other" than your "us" in this thread.

Thanks, but I think I'll stick to the Booster's dogs. They have more substance.:D

No it's just that there are a select few individuals that think they have all the answers and are the swammi's of Highlands football as if it's some big deal. In their world' date=' it apparently is, revealing something missing within themselves that I dare not go into on this thread. This select minority of posters feel that they are ordained by and supported by the community of Ft. Thomas, but are sadly mistaken. [b']Most folks are turned off by these self proclaimed "know it alls"[/b] . They are all still probably wearing their letterman sweaters to the tailgate parties. They've got names for people like this in our easternmost neighbor state that I cannot say here on BGP. These posters provide little benefit to the threads and never address legitimate questions, but rather post inflammatory or sarcastic messages that provide no substance. So there you go Henry, put that in your pipe and smoke it.....Go Birds

It think you can say it goes both ways. Just as irritating to some are posters that have never stepped foot in Highlands, or don't have a child on the team or in the school system for that matter, yet they want to tell you what every little detail that is going on with Highlands football. Why it is wrong or right and what kid should be doing what when in reality they are the casual fan that reads the paper and sits in the 915 til gametime and then leaves at half time when the game is in the bag. They are the fan that goes to the game when it is convenient. Chances are they have never been to a practice or have seen a summer two a day.

There are plenty of posters that are casual fans that don't go to every game and have never played the game themselves. They also don't get on a web site and profess to know all.

It's almost like Henry knows my M.O. on gameday or something. Although I'm not a casual fan, it's just that I have to go to work and stuff during the week.....lol! Henry is correct about alot of the Bluebird faithful.

The problem is with the fine educational system in Ft. Thomas. The Bluebirds get graded on a tighter grading scale than other teams. (97-100=A with no curve versus the 10% curved scale where 90% + = A). They are held "accountable" to not only be better than the previous year, but to HHS' BEST year. It's not really fair, but that is how ALL HHS teams have been and will always be "graded". It's sorta like what Dale refers to when he says "this team is built upon the shoulders of all other HHS teams." But as in school, progress reports are just a tool to help achieve the final grade (State Champs).

Henry...keep smokin' that corncob pipe of yours, it's still preferred to the tin of mush the old man uses! LOL!

I think everyone needs to check their ego at the door and reread their posts before hitting submit.

Lots of discussion. No scheduling. Here is hoping that changes and soon for all real Kentucky football fans.

Highlands has number 20 in the bag as I said all year long. Nobody even close in 5A.

Discussing is all we can do on here. Talk to T, X and HHS about scheduling. I'm sure they'll listen to you.

Don't worry he hangs his hat on 1 thing, scheduling and acts like Highlands doesnt schedule anyone. He also doesnt realize that both teams have to agree on scheduling a game.
