Bluebird Mid Terms

I look forward to the day when people are not cowards and say the school they cheer for instead of attempting to talk down other schools, but fail miserably. Yeah that day will be wonderful when the people that are personally messaged and say that their school isn't Trinity St. X or Highlands and still try to talk down about those schools. The person that is afraid to show the flaws of their high school while everyone elses flaws are exposed. I was wondering what other peoples thoughts on this are.

At the risk of HROAOA, I have said all I need to on this matter. I look forward to the future when the Bluebirds and the Tigers of St. X or the Shamrocks of Trinity play.

jbwil-who won the Colerain/Highlands game last night? Your internet guys were not on. j/k :D

Highlands 42 vs. Colerain 0

My thoughts are that you talk down to other schools worse than any poster that I've seen on this board. Nothing is wrong with HHS schedule but History is right in the fact that if HHS wants to be legitimately thought of as a national championship contentders and many of their fans argue incorrectly that they already are then they need to schedule some bigger profile teams. If anyone watched the Plant City vs Abilene game on ESPN last week and still thinks HHS is in the class of either of those teams they are on something. I say what could it hurt, if the Birds are national contenders show it, what does drubbing an out of district team like Beechwood help. If not they are just the best team in 5A year in and out and arguably the best team/program in the state and there isn't anything wrong with that.

I think you have made more posts hating on the Birds then showing love for your Camels...kind of sad if you ask me.

I find it curious to say the least. To say the most would just get me in trouble.

Holding Colerain to zero first downs made a statment though!

Thats fine if you want to say I talk down other teams, I do sometimes, but I have an identity unlike other posters who hide for some reason under some internet smoke screen and crumble when it comes to them reacting.

My arguement is that Highlands finished # 3 in the country with the schedule they did last year. The polls in general are not legitimate and there is no reason to over schedule. The strategy in place has gotten them 2 slots away from the ultimate goal, ranked # 1 in national polls. How does the #3 arguement incorrect from birds fans? You then argue that Highlands should play Trinity or ST. X, and according to reliable sources who post on these boards that Highlands and Trinity have been trying to schedule eachother. Again, both teams schedules need to match. Why isn't anyone ragging on Trinity? I want to see the game happen, but I would rather play Elder, a team that Highlands has not beat in the past.

Highlands 42 vs. Colerain 0

Oh man, that's only four off of what I had predicted when I guessed the final score to be HHS 46 Colerain 0.

The team sure is good this year!

Find me one post where I have "hated on the birds". I have consistently acknowledged the Birds as the best program in the state. What I posted is not hating on the Birds and if you feel that any criticism is hating then that is kind of sad if you ask me. Have I made more post about HHS than CCHS? I sure have; the amount of threads for HHS to CCHS is a ratio of about 2000:1 at this point. Again posting anything but how great the birds are draws ire from some of their thin skinned fans, it is sad and tiresome.

I understand your arguement but to me it's hard to be #3 in the country without playing another one of the top two programs in your state. The number 3 ranking also doesn't pass the serious eye test for anyone who isn't looking through blue colored glasses. Some of the teams that are in FL, TX and CA are so impressive that its hard to believe the Bird's could compete with them. I don't think the Bird's duck anyone and believe they'd play T & X every year and I'd like to see that happen. I think alot of people would rather see a close competetive game rather than the Birds thrashing a typical Northern Kentucky team. I honestly believe if the Birds went through a schedule of X, T, Ryle, one of the cincy powers out of district then they would have a legitimate arguement for being in the national title hunt IMO. It would be brutal but I take a look at the schedules of the two teams I posted about earlier and neither of them are in the maxpreps top 25.

What does all of this have to do with the Bluebird Mid-terms? In my opinion, this thread has exhausted it's usefulness, if it ever had any.

They were # 3 though so it is easy to believe because it happened. There may have been better teamsThe team Highlands played (St. X OH) was better than the best teams in the state of KY. Kentucky is just a blip on the radar on the national scene. Cincinnati is not. Everyone knows Ohio football is ahead of Kentucky, at least at the top.

We learned 6 things from this thread; 1. Highlands is 5-0. 2. Highlands will win state if they stay healthy 3. There are a few Whackem haters out there. 4. Sweeperboy is now Swifferboy. 5. History needs to come out of the closet. 6. Don't get Leatherneck mad at you.:D
