None of these kids no how to prepare to play T or X the seniors were in 7th and 8th the last time they playe St X losing 21-35 in 2006 and 0-45 in 2005. Most of these kids were in kidergarten or 1st grade the last time they player Trinity a 42-29 win in 2000.

Highlands has a remarkable program, but I can't understand why the fans always compare themselves to T and X, or continually talk about T and X when they hardly, if ever play them.

As pointed out, they weren't comparing themselves. However, when they do it's because those 3 are by far the top 3 programs in the state, as you pointed out in another thread. Who should they compare themselves to if not the two other top teams in the state?

Hmmm!! Interesting. Funny how things come around again. LOL!!!

As far as this years team grade, it's a work in progress. They definately are not at the top of their game, but are improving each week. They have beaten teams pretty much what everyone expected really. I also don't think they are losing any "competitive steam". I'm also not questioning the coaching. Last I looked, they are 5-0. As with the majority of posters on here, I think they are on the right track for #20.

I pointed it out in this thread as well, I think Highlands is one of the best programs in the state even the nation for that matter. My point is and has been that for HHS to be considered the best team in the state each year (which they may be) they need to play T and X. Those three are absolutely in a class by themselves and I think it would be great for Kentucky football if they played more that 3 times in 10 years and none in the last 4 years when all three teams were dominating their respective classes.

What they have done with the numbers they have is amazing, to even be consisdered an equal of the Big 2 is amazing. HHS is not going to have any competiton in any class (except 6A) in Kentucky on a consistent basis. Playing Ohio schools is great but if you can play some of the best teams in southern Ohio then you can play the best teams in Kentucky.

Robert plays all positions on the O Line, including Tight End. Against Boone County, he played Tight End (wore #34), however for the previous couple of games, he played interior, and started at Right and Left Tackle.

Thanks for the info. I have known his dad since his Bulldog days. Great family.

ME! ME! ME! ME! I have a question? Who is "us"? Seriously?

Thats is the million dollar question right there. I kinda scratch my head to, but hey pay your money and just about anyone can pretend. LOL. Go Birds 20n10

Regardless of what HHS' midterm grade is, realistically is there any team out there who poses a challenge in 5A? Bowling Green? Who else?

I'm just pointing out why HHS fans compare the program to St X and T. Scheduling each other is an entirely different conversation which of course has been discussed in depth many times.

It will be interesting to see how BG stacks up against Trinity this weekend. Hopefully, some of the Trinity fans who have watched both the Highlands-Trinity scrimmage and the BG-Trinity game will give us some honest comparisons here on BGP.

Excellent post!!!

Lots of discussion. No scheduling. Here is hoping that changes and soon for all real Kentucky football fans.

Highlands has number 20 in the bag as I said all year long. Nobody even close in 5A.

No it's just that there are a select few individuals that think they have all the answers and are the swammi's of Highlands football as if it's some big deal. In their world, it apparently is, revealing something missing within themselves that I dare not go into on this thread. This select minority of posters feel that they are ordained by and supported by the community of Ft. Thomas, but are sadly mistaken. Most folks are turned off by these self proclaimed "know it alls" . They are all still probably wearing their letterman sweaters to the tailgate parties. They've got names for people like this in our easternmost neighbor state that I cannot say here on BGP. These posters provide little benefit to the threads and never address legitimate questions, but rather post inflammatory or sarcastic messages that provide no substance. So there you go Henry, put that in your pipe and smoke it.....Go Birds

I'm sorry but that is great stuff right there.

Oh, yeah, who is the "us" again. It seems to be more of the "other" than your "us" in this thread.

Come on over from the southside of the lot and get ya a dog next home game why don't ya. LOL!!!
