August 9, 201016 yr What has Vick won? Not a Vick fan, but he did win the NFC title one year. I project Carson Palmer will never win a playoff game ever. He has had all-pro receivers Chad and TJ. He has had the coach of the year in Marvin, and good running backs (at times) in Benson and Rudi Johnson. What is the missing ingredient? #9. Edited August 9, 201016 yr by History spelling

August 9, 201016 yr When? Vick's never taken Atlanta to the Super Bowl.... No Super Bowl but one NFC Championship. Not to mention the first ever win at Lambeau in freezing conditions in the playoffs by a visiting team.

August 9, 201016 yr Ok, help me out here...How did he win the NFC championship, but not make the Super Bowl? That should have read he MADE one NFC Title.

I guess its his fault for not playing the rest of the game after he tore his knee up in the playoffs. Not to mention terrible defense. In 2006 he did everything he could to get them to the playoffs. He put them in positions to get it done, and then special teams decides it forgets how to make field goals. 2007 Rudi becomes washed up, Chris Henry suspended 8 games, and Palmer still puts up great numbers, but defense sucked! So good call on Palmer being the missing ingredient. Its funny how you all choose to ignore things like this.

August 9, 201016 yr Here are facts from the often mentioned 2005 season and 2006 playoffs: Washington won with QB Mark Brunell in the playoffs. Jake Delhomme won in the playoffs for Carolina. Jake Plummer led Denver to playoff wins. Rex Grossman led the Bears to playoff wins. Seattle lost MVP Shaun Alexander to concussions and yet advanced to the Super Bowl. My point of this is to show HOW LONG AGO that was. May of these guys aren't even in the league anymore. Carson fans need to wake up and realize he has been a disappointment to this point in his career.

However failure this season will lay soley at his feet, or should I say right arm. He's got the weapons, the D is good. This season is on Carson. I do see why some are skeptical.

If you would go back to the day CP was drafted, and told him, that he would not have a playoff victory at this point in his career, I think he would have been shocked along with a lot of other people.

If you go back to the day Palmer was drafted, he was joining a 2 and 14 franchise. A franchise that had already two first round bust at QB in 14 years. I really don't know how anyone can say realistically they thought getting him would mean playoff wins. At that point with the Bengals, nobody would have a clue how they would do. So how has he been a disappointment? He took this team to the playoffs twice, and should have been three years if not for special teams in 2006. We have no clue if he would have won a playoff game in 2005, thats just bad luck. Last year we made the playoffs again, and yes he didn't do that great in that game at all. However he came to the Bengals when they were 2 and 14, and has them two division championships, pro bowls, and pro bowl MVP. From where they were when he took over to now, is a huge difference. So how is that a disappointment? I will admit this year is a big year for Carson though. It is time now for him to get the team even further, and actually make a run in the playoffs. He has the weapons to do it this year, so it is time for him to get it done. If they don't make a run in the playoffs, then I will be right along with everyone else and say that he was disappointing.
