Lebron said in a Fortune 500 article a year or two ago it was his job to bring the NBA back to they way it was in the late 90's. He wanted to bring back the rivalries, and bring back the parity. I honestly think Lebron ends up in New York or Cleveland. We'll just have to wait and see until 9 pm. tonight.

The local news here just reported that Lebron was leaning towards Miami, per ESPN. :idunno:

It kills me that people are bashing him. He's a free agent. He can go whereever he wants. He's not whining his way out of town. He isn't under contract and holding his team's foot to the fire. He can go anywhere that he agrees to a contract. He negotiated a TV show w/ ESPN. They didn't have to give him the airwaves. He could have done a sit down w/ anyone and he chose ESPN and Wilbon to ask the questions. So if the news is leaked out and it is Miami what did he do wrong.

 

CCC, you crack me up. It is his right to go to South Beach and play w/ two guys he is really close with if that's what he chooses. Why does he care what you or anyone else will care about him. If they win 4 of the next 6 titles do you really think he won't be a global icon? Larry Bird won titles w/ HOF sidekicks. Kobe had Shaq for 3 and Gasol, Odom and other really good players for 2. Maybe LBJ doesn't want to play w/ Noah and Boozer b/c he gets along w/ Wade and Bosh so much more. The dude is a FREE agent. He's FREE to sign anywhere HE wants. I highly doubt they win the title this year either w/ 3 mega stars and 9 minimum guys. The easiest way for him to win multiple titles and win the next one is Chicago.

Dan Le Batard just said on ESPN Radio that too many signs are pointing in the direction of him coming to South Beach and that it is a "Done" deal that LeBron will join the Heat.

Okay, whatever SSC. I get sick and tired of arguing with you. If you're a LeBron fan and you think it's a good idea to become a total sell out and go to the easiest place to win a title is that is your right. I personally don't. As much time and money as I've spent watching LeBron and the Cavs over the years and as bad as it's been to watch them get knocked out of the playoffs every year, I'll personally be disappointed to see him get a championship with a loaded team in the future that isn't the Cavs.

 

Maybe you're not a real LeBron fan and obviously aren't a Cavs fan, but I think that winning one there would have been so much more enjoyable for me on a personal level, as a very long-term fan of his. With as much crap as I've taken on here over the last few years, I'm not pumped about any of this garbage that has went on. And BTW almost everything you say cracks me up, but I try to keep it to myself. :walk:

I'm by no means a LeBron fan. But I'm selling myself on him coming to the Heat. Because as you allude to, the Heat will remain D Wade's team!

For every title they win in Miami he will still be 1 short of DWade.

That is what is scary about it if you are looking form a legendary standpoint. Does he still have a shot of being the all time best, when one may argue he is not the best on his own team?
