How many times have you watched DWade live? You get a totally different perspective on players like that, or at least I think you do. And has there ever been a player you just didn't like? Oh wait, LeBron James. DWade is great but I hate to watch him play basketball. Fair enough?

 

And over the last 4 years the stats don't really favor DWade in that comparison. But we can compare a 22 year old rookie to an 18 year old kid if you want.

I'll be watching. I think it's good unprecedented tv. Not to mention, LeBron obviously has an ego that needs to be stroked, but he missed out on the whole I am announcing where I am going to college at on Sportscenter . This is his moment. I see nothing wrong with him having it. Plus, what else is on in the summer time on Thursday nights besides reruns and reality tv shows with people desiring to be as famous as LeBron. No basketball, no football...even the World Cup won't be on tomorrow night. Why not tune in to see if LeBron puts on a Nets cap?

Can people give LBJ a break here please? We live in an age of 24 hour media coverage. As far as we know the worst thing he does is manipulates a media that follows his every move anyway. What is wrong w/ being a free agent and seeing what your best options are? If ESPN didn't want to run this special they wouldn't. Everyone knew what Wade and Bosh were doing before they announced it. My guess is we'll know before LBJ's special what he's doing. Maybe he's taking the special to announce how hard he wanted to stay in Cleveland, but he couldn't get any other player to play there too. The special may not be the best idea, but what does he do to take this abuse? It's not his fault he's been in every basketball sportscasters mouth since he was 16. Some valid points. On the other hand, if you want to role with the big dogs and be the elite superstar he is or attempting to be, you open yourself up to more criticism. That is the reality of life. If he stunk at what he did, he would not be getting the attention he does.

Kobe has 5 rings, LeBron has 0. Kobe played his worst game of the playoffs in game 7 of the World Championships and his team still won. LeBron quit on his team twice in the same series in the ECSFs. Kobe has 5 rings, LeBron has 0. Kobe re-signed with his original team without a 1 hour special. LeBron may break an ENTIRE STATE's heart and financially ruin a major city on national television. Kobe has 5 rings, including the last 2 in a row. LeBron couldn't even make it to the ECFs this year. Kobe isn't the first superstar to demand a trade because of front office ineptitude. Hmmm, looks like they successfully acquired what he was asking for.....2 rings later. If the NBA ended today or even in the next 2 years, Kobe would go down as the better player in comparison to Kobe and LeBron. Give ME a break.
