I've seen or heard nothing to make me believe this in the slightest. All I've seen or heard is him trying to be the center of attention every chance he gets, acting like an immature baby when things don't go his way, and being a huge disappointment when the games actually matter.

Lebron is always going to take a lot of flack because there is a lot of people out there who has never liked him. He is one of the most hated men in sports and I have never understood why. He basically came from nothing, lived in an obscure apartment, growing up, and had a found love of basketball that has brought him to places he probably never dreamed possible. Just because he is still young at heart and likes to have a good time, people tag him as oh me first guy, or whatever, but if you look at it, he has only grew up the only way he knew how. What would you do if you had all this hype surrounding you as a junior/senior in high school, and at the time you basically had nothing to your name. What would you then do if you were the number one pick and automatically got endorsements and became super wealthy and had anything at your finger tips? Instead of going broke like countless other NBA players have, Lebron has built off his ventures and turned himself into a very marketable machine, all the while doing it in "CLEVELAND!". He has brought the Cavs of all teams into the picture, and even got them to the finals almost single handedly. People hate on him because they do not want to see him succeed for some reason. What he has done and coming from where he has come from is a remarkable story in my book.

 

And as some have said, they have seen nothing to tell them otherwise that he is a good guy? Well I haven't seen anything to say that he is a bad guy. When attention is always forced on you its hard not to take it in. A lot of times he is not bringing the attention on himself, the same was many celebrities cannot go out to eat without being chased by the paparazzi. Its just the society we live in. Lebron does many charitable things around the country and especially in his hometown area. He has held his Lebron James Skills Academy Camp for a few years now, and more often than not takes a lot of those kids under his wing, Michael Gilchrist being a big example. He is involved with the kids there, and he gets involved with the kids anywhere he goes. Everything he does he does with a smile on his face and I'd rather see that anyday then a Kobe/Jordan smirk. Truth is Lebron is just a big kid, and a lot of people cannot stand that. They label it as immature and self centered. That's why theres just different strokes for different folks. But as you said show me where he is a good guy, show me where he is a bad guy?

And what makes it worse, he brings it all on himself? I want to cheer for the LeBron, I want to see him do well, but every year I like him less and less.

1.) Nike Reps requested the tapes be collected because "they" thought it would somehow tarnish his image. I'm sure we've all seen the video, I'm not sure how you can call that throwing one down somebodys throat. I'm sure Lebron didn't think anything of it at the time. I've read numerous stories that have said that the Nike people are the ones who were freaking out over it, not Lebron.

 

2.) Can't say anything about not shaking the other teams hands, thats not sportsmanlike in the least. BUT, happens all the time in pro sports. How many times have you seen guys just jog off the court and not acknowledge anyone?

 

3.) I'm sure ESPN and Lebrons people had a lot more to do with this than Lebron himself. You have to think, this guy is surrounded by piranhas at all times, all looking to get a bite. Most of these guys are guys he has known since childhood/high school and they are trying to get as much out of it as they can. The more stuff Lebron can do, the more they benefit from it. As much attention as Lebron has been getting the past two weeks, I doubt he was staying awake at night hoping he would get his own special. I doubt he calls into Bristol's ESPN office every morning at 9 am and requests they lead Sportscenter off with a Lebron watch. A lot of this is because the media is blowing it up. If ESPN offered a special like this to someone else I'm sure they would do it too. The main thing is that all proceeds are going to charity. If theres that many people who are worried about where he's going, why not have a special where he can, from his own mouth say where he is going (end speculation) and raise money for charity while at it. That's all you have heard for two or three weeks now, and like I said, I doubt Lebrons people calls all these media outlets with bomb threats telling them to make this the top story, so if people are going to be talking about it and going to be wondering about it anyway then why not?

 

I have a feeling it is going to be a signing special in which will outline where a lot of guys have officially signed already, then Lebron will announce during the special. Tomorrow is the first day you can officially sign.

 

4.) Seriously, people get tore up over the whole dancing thing? Are you guys the same people who think you should be fined and penalized for doing a touchdown celebration in the NFL? I mean really dancing, having fun with your teammates and enjoying playing basketball is an issue? Please. Like I said, Lebron is like a big kid, he's never really had to grow up, so if thats reason for people to hate him then so be it.

He needed to let you know on Twitter, that "the Real King James is in the Building." But the real king was Michael Jordan, and he never needed to call himself king. My only beef with it is that I believe LeBron is too good to be bring himself to that level. I have no doubt he is having fun, but Superstars I put on a different level. No need to taunt, dance, or flex all the time.
