I don't see it as selfless. It's a cop-out and it's weak IMO. He has to win a championship so he joins the best teammates he can find? That's not how anyone else did it. This is more like Malone and Payton joining the Lakers, than Kobe getting Gasol or Jordan lucking into Pippen. Let me run to play with 2 of the best players in the league.

 

Let's face it going to Miami is the most sell-out thing he could do. Anywhere else he could go wouldn't be nearly as bad. Atleast the Bulls, Nets and Knicks would require some work from him to get a title. So run to Miami LeBron, you might wins some championships but your legacy and brand will take a huge hit, you'll lose money in the process and the haters will just get louder. Nothing good can come out of going to the Heat besides winning, but that brand of winning will be hollow when you look at the work everyone in the past has put in to get to the top.

 

Yeah the Cavs are not a great team, but neither were the Bulls before Jordan, nor the Lakers really before Shaq & Kobe. The Celtics were garbage before Russell, Bird and Magic took the Celtics and Lakers to the next level. MJ would not have left for the Heat, how about having a little bit of competitiveness in you? So go to Miami and prove your detractors right and show the world you're no where near the caliber of athlete, basketball player and competitor that many have thought you were.

 

I feel your pain but what they would be doing is a precedent set by Boston in 07-08. The were just at the tail end of their prime. These 3 are in their prime and I can't be mad at anyone sacrificing their own personal goals for the achievements of a team. Just read the first link. I didn't like how it ended. We'll see if that loyalty tattoo means something.....he has to be loyal to himself and his family. He owes Cleveland nothing, IMO.

Again I say Who Cares I haven't paid attention to the NBA sine I lost my season tickets to the Royals when they abandoned Cincy for Kansas City / Omaha .

I honestly think he will be a Knick. He wants his LeBron brand to get to the level of Jordan but it won't, but being in the center of the world would help make it bigger. He knows the Knicks have cap room to sit back and wait and sign Melo and/or Tony Parker next summer while leading them to the playoffs this year with Amare.

Just read the second link. If it's true and LeBron's camp leaked out the Wade/Bosh to Miami why wouldn't they just leak out back that LeBron is coming to Miami? They could have done that live on Sportscenter at 12:30 with Mike Wilbon.

 

I think the author is just another perplexed person at all of this hype. Everyone talking junk on LeBron is going to look silly if he goes back to Cleveland. I can't wait to see where he ends up tonight.

I really hope he doesn't go to Miami. Shouldn't be to hard to get some rings with 3 of the top 7 players in the NBA.

Those two put together to play for Miami is not as big of news as LeBron leaving Cleveland to join them.

It wouldn't surprise if he was up until today. Bulls front office said all signs pointed to NY, then we get that message about him flying to Miami, then you figure he isn't really going to spend an hour saying "goodbye" to Cleveland and rubbing it in their face. Even if he raises money for charity and spends 60 minutes talking about how great the Akron area has been to him, it still won't change the fact that Cleveland will be a 30 win team next year without him.

 

Sad thing is, as soon as this story is over with, ESPN will hop right back on that Favre bandwagon. :lol:
