March 8, 201511 yr Watched "Sunset Boulevard" a few nights ago on Netflix. I'm surprised I hadn't seen it before. Very good 1950 Billy Wilder movie starring William Holden and Gloria Swanson. It was nominated for 11 Oscars and won 3.
March 8, 201511 yr Finally watched Schindler's List. Dvr'd it a couple of weeks ago. AHC showed it uncut with no commercials. Should have won at least 2 more Oscars than it did, for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor. I was prepared for this movie so it wasn't as shocking as the end if The Boy in the Striped Pajamas was. I had NO idea what that was about and stunned at the end. It's a great movie. However, I've had trouble watching it again. The suffering in the movie and cold blooded murders leaves an impression, even though I knew it had to show this part of history. I have the same problems with "Saving Private Ryan". Great movie but so tragic and sad.
March 10, 201511 yr Author Finished watching the Harry Potter movie series last night. I'd never seen them before, nor have I read the books. Really enjoyed the movies...probably still won't read the books :lol2:
March 10, 201511 yr Did attend an early screening of Sean Penn's The Gunman, it's from the director of Taken. If you have seen Taken or just seen the trailer for this movie, you are getting exactly what you expect. Not a bad movie, not great.

March 10, 201511 yr The Judge was very good . Girlfriend just watched this and said she really liked it. I have yet to see it.
March 13, 201511 yr Author Watched a Spike Lee movie I've been meaning to check out for some years now - "Bamboozled". Wow...talk about a social statement. Sheesh.
March 16, 201511 yr Glory Road was very good, but I hated the fact they did not use the correct scores of the games that were played that season.
March 17, 201511 yr I've been deprived of movies growing up (which I don't mind now). Here's a list of some great ones I've seen within the last two weeks: Good Will Hunting Cast Away Forrest Gump Awesome movies. I'm watching Ferris Bueller's Day Off soon.
