Dawg ... Please help us all out. Could you just spell out what is on your mind in a complete sentence or two?

Nothing against Brossarts coach know but I feel someone like Code could be the piece this program's been missing for some years.

thanks Flotsam, I dont generally throw garbage on this forum if you know what I mean. If my info is bad then I apologize but it did come from a normally reliable source or I wouldnt have posted it.

 

Carr's best bet is to stay put for what its worth, he will not get the Holmes job and there really isnt another job in NKY that is better than Scott at this time IMO.

What are you talking about Dawg? Brossart's coach only led them to an All A State title and consistently has them beating many top ranked NKY teams. They certainly wouldnt get rid of one Code to hire another. If anything, they might bring him on as an assistant. Two Codes are better than one I guess.

I'm talking about the girls team at Brossart. As far as the boys your right why would they get rid of mike code he's doing an awesome job. I think his brother could do the same with the girls program. I hear there's alot of talent coming in this freshman year. Its just a thought

For the record, Superintendents are hired and fired by the board of education. Superintendents are not voted on by the general public. It is so sad to see such a classy coach mistreated by a classless society. For selfish reasons, I wish this would have gone down a little earlier because Scott Code would have been an excellent fit for my Grant County Braves.

 

And the Board of Education, takes a vote to either renew the contract of the Superintendent or not to renew. I think that is what is meant by a vote. If I am not mistaken, the current super just made it in the last time his contract came up for renewal, not sure but that was the rumor. There is a good chance that one of those votes may change the next time around with his right hand man running for County Commissoiner??

 

So again, "As the Camel turns", wouldn't be Campbell County High School without some conterversy

Just a few thoughts on the subject from the wilds of Canada.

 

A) It is common knowledge that Brad Carr is under some pressure at Scott and would welcome a change of scenery.

B) It was rumored that the CCo Super was conducting his own personal search and I suspect must have received a fairly strong commitment from someone before he fired Scott Code.

C) If Carr was offered and has now elected not to take the job, Campbell is back to block one.

D) Hurray for Scott Code for not taking the resignation route out. It will probably cost him in the long run, but he will sleep better at night and will have the respect of his players and the community.

E) There are some great quotes on Ryan Ernst's blog in reference to Scott Code's dismissal - the link is:

Best of Luck to Coach Scott Code. Those of us who had to compete against him, know for a fact that his teams played harder than any Camels team we faced in the past and that he did the best he could with what he had to do it with this past season. It boggles me that folks/fans have problems with coaches' styles of winning.

 

Good luck also to the Camels in finding a worthy/suitable replacement.

Great point! And I am not speaking specifically of this situation, but you would hope a school that wants to make a change would do so early enough to allow the coach to be able to look at other opportunities. Of course, I guess Shelby Valley is open.

Sorry--I'm not good at reading between the lines?? If you're correct, then which one is right; because it seems to be dueling information?? Personally think Brad stays at Scott with a good younger group in the pipeline, now that Holmes has been decided; but then that's my opinion and without any "sources"??

Good point!! More on topic, with the Holmes' job spoken for, it would appear less movement in NKY than predicted. I'm guessing a couple of items:

 

1--Unless Campbell can coax Aric Russell out of Newport, the CC job goes internal to either Maddy or Enezwiler (sp?)?

2--Scott Code will not be the next girl's coach at Bishop Brossart, but will be coaching again soon.
