So if it was a lack of production, how productive was some of their other programs this last year? What hurts here is the fact that the Athletes are the ones that suffer. Strong and Boots have no clue about sports. Did either one these two participate in High school?

Officially it was "Lack of Production" according to some of the insiders. :ohbrother:

I am not sure who your insiders are but I would ask Code why he was fired do not take the "insiders" information.

Sometimes the adm. will use, "Program not going in the direction that they want". To me both are just excuses to put in someone else they want. That is JMO.

From a reliable source this just in. Brad Carr, yesterday officially turned down the offer to be the HC he received 2 weeks ago from the Campbell Co admin. The stinky part of this news is that Code just learned he wouldn't be coming back this past Wed. You talk about having one handed to you from the backside, wow. The admin is now scurrying to get another candidate before he gets away and I have yet to hear that name.

Code will join another staff in NKY after the dead period, I'm sure it won't be hard to figure that one out.

Interesting, so if he turned it down is he staying at Scott or going to Holmes?

I would assume staying at Scott since he is not in the final two for Holmes. Im sure he doesnt want to leave one school where the administration is busting his chops for another who doesnt seem to have their stuff together.

Good point, should be interesting to see if they get someone good and end up having their stuff together more than people think.

They might want to look within, apparently Maddy is a players coach but at this point it looks like the Admin wants to make the call so it will be interesting to see who jumps into that hornets nest.

This entire thing is a JOKE!! Scott Code is a class person and a very good coach. If school administration would just stay out of the way and just let coaches do their job CCHS may have some success. It is a shame that a school that had some success all through the 1980's has fallen so far.

If Brad Carr was offered the job 2 weeks ago, it just goes to show the lack of class that is in administration at CCHS. I give Coach Carr credit in 2 areas, 1) to realize the mess that he would walk into and 2) showing respect for Scott Code to not take the job if that is the way it was done.

Rumor has it that Bob Jones was also let go, it also has been rumored that Mr. Jones supported Coach Code and once he found out what was going on he let the administration know exactly what he felt and moved on. Credit to Mr. Jones for having the loyality to support a good coach!!

Without having a dog in this fight I will go on record to say the following, "if Coach Code does join his brother, look out. The one thing the Code boys are very good at is working together and if I were Campbell I would be very worried. With what Brossart has coming up and the frosh class they are going to have walk in the door it is going to be a VERY LONG time before Campbell is going to see any success over Brossart". While Scott Code may be a very quite person he is a very good X's and O's coach, so enjoy Campbell your future may be a long one.

Also, Mr. Strong better strart working those votes now, you will need them in the future to retain your job. My property tax bill is mostly for school taxes and I am not getting the best return on my investment so enjoy now because I feel your future may change.

Coach Code, good luck in whatever your furture plans are!! Hope you didnt throw away all of your green. Also, you never know, you could see him in Blue and White with Coach Flynn.

Now to Plan B.

Where is Old Soda while all this is going on? I was hopeful to get his two cents on this topic...

He removed himself from the board a year or so ago due to a disagreement on here.

FROM A VERY, VERY, VERY RELIABLE SOURCE, BRAD CARR HMSELF! Brad Carr was not offered the basketball job two weeks ago from Campbell Co! Also he is not getting his "chops busted" by his current administration. They have given their full support for him coming back to Scott next season, which he will most likely do. He did apply for the Holmes job and inteviewed. He has never applied for the Cooper or Highlands job that has been insinuated by greyche11 several times on this forum. Seems like a lot of accuasations and innuendos by someone who seems so INFORMED! Please do not try to get something started where there is no fire to be made.

Its qryche11 fyi and I wouldnt think Carr would admit to it if it were true anyway to you or anyone else.

You are completely off base with this claim and I will leave it at that, as you have been with several other comments you've made about Coach Carr in other threads. If your informants are leaking this information to you, I suggest you get new people that are more informed. BTW, Coach Carr is my daughter's husband.
