I have heard the same thing about Aric Russell. There was talk about him leaving the coaching ranks but he maybe the only on who could possibly deal the administration as it stands now.

 

1. Former High School Standout at CCHS. The "County" would riot if he were treated like Code was.

2. Well respected.

3. Has the experience of being a former AD.

4. Worked under Principal Boots at Newport.

 

I would love if Russell would come to Campbell County. I sure didn't want to possibly see him come CCHS because Code got fired but we have to move on and deal with the situation.

 

My other pick would be Sean Maddy, Freshman coach currently at CCHS. I know unexperienced on the varsity level but he has to get a shot sometime.

In no way are the Brossart, Scott and Campbell jobs better than Pendleton County job. Just by fan support alone they would seem to top all three of these schools mentioned above, the Wildcats have great support.

 

That statement is a little outdated as Pendleton County used to fill the opponents gym under Buddy Biggs and the nice run they had a few years ago. They haven't traveled that well the past three years and home court advantage is not what it used to be either

Not saying PC is a better job than CC but as far as fans go, you surely didn't attend the regional tournament this year. They had as many fans there as anyone.

Was there for every session and it is easy to show up for a regional tournament. Everybodies fan base does that.

 

I was also at Pendleton County home games and away games during the past few years and they do not travel or show up at home like they used to.

Let's be fair here. Look at PC's record and tell me honestly that you would rather be at Deming or Bracken instead. And in reality, they have a much better record over the past 10 years than Campbell. I agree that Campbell should be a much better job, but nobody has been able to get it done.

What school or schools would you replace Pendleton with? I would even consider maybe putting it in the third slot behind Mason and Clark.

By many areas, you mean basically two grade schools that graduate 25 guys a year? That's a common misconception. Brossart's feeder schools just do a good job of developing the grade school players...

Brossart has five private schools. The two huge ones are St. Mary and St. Joe's. They graduate about 50 kids from each, and half go to NewCath. THe others are Sts. Peter and Paul, St. Phillip, and St. Joe's Camp Spring, which graduates a WHOPPING 10 kids each... And no, Brossart doesn't draw from any of the CC public middle schools.
