Sounds like a bad decision by CC IMO. Coach Code is a quality coach, someone will grab him up quickly.

For the record, Superintendents are hired and fired by the board of education. Superintendents are not voted on by the general public. It is so sad to see such a classy coach mistreated by a classless society. For selfish reasons, I wish this would have gone down a little earlier because Scott Code would have been an excellent fit for my Grant County Braves.

I do not have a dog in this fight and have no info re:when Coach Code received an offer, if ever...but I have found qryche11's posts to be informative and reliable. Even the Wall Street Journal and N.Y. Times get some bum info every now and then.

Are there any assistants in the 9th that would be capable in moving up? Or does anyone think that Campbell will try to land someone with prior HC experience.

Campbell was able to land a coach with a pretty good resume in Coach Reitz before Scott Code, but he never seemed to have the enthusiasm for the job that he obviously had in his previous stops. It's hard to believe that a school of that size doesn't have their pick of quality coaches with HC experience applying, but maybe they will??
