To all CC Parents, Which have a son or daughter involved in any sport.Get out while you can this has been going on for how long? They just don't get it there. Wrestling program has always been good other than that what a few good seasons in other sports. No one there understands what it takes to become a winner and stay a winner. The attitude needs to change that we will no longer accept being second best. It starts early yes they have feeder programs some of them are run horribly. yes I do know I seen it first hand. It starts at the top new coaches do nothing the attitude there is horrible no one has a clue. Get out while you can it will not change beleive me. There has been some great athletes go through there where has it got them? Any state champions,Any rings?

Completely agree with Macla. I don"t think Aric Russell would be a good fit. Campbell's next coach needs to stress discipline and light a fire under the players. There are quite a few names I would recommend. Carr, Sullivan, Faust, Dawn, come to mind right away. Unfortunately for CCHS, none of these coaches would have any interest at all. Does Eric Goetz have any interest? I know he has applied for a few jobs over the last few years.

Agree with this point, however they just had what you describe and ran him off?? All the names you mention are similar in style in regards to discipline (perhaps why they've all been successful?) and that doesn't seem to be what the CC administration is looking for??

I'm new to this site and have only posted a couple of times but I believe your wrong. I know of several incoming players that are going to CCHS because they feel they can lead the change. Will they, who knows but the attitude of the younger players and some new coaches should go a long way. They have a boat load of talent on the way more than they have possibly had in years. I'm not saying that this will happen over night but I expect big things out of CCHS in three or so years.

Coach Russell? The last time I talked to him I got the feeling he was not going to coach a whole lot longer. I would think they would want a several year committment from him. (Let's say 3 years) Wouldn't he talk to Bob Jones before he took the job? Didn't he play for Bob? He has to be aware of the mess? Who's the AD? That would be important. If the hire an AD after they hire the coach what happens if they don't get along?

I just can't believe this is an attractive situation to a proven coach. Way too many unanswered questions.

Tenure - it does not mean much if the powers to be and you have a falling out. Who wants a job where they don't want you?

Not sure where the fire lit comment is coming from. Last year, the Camels overachieved compared to preseason expectations. Those young men played tough every game for Coach Code (in part due to his coaching). Also, there are no discipline issues either. Stop bashing these young men who are confused as to why their coach is gone.

The Camel cupboard is far from bare. The next coach is walking in to a pretty good situation from a talent perspective. You can argue the other pieces of the job.

I believe that with Scott Code you got discipline. My fear is that now he is gone, and Aric Russell possibly moving in, that discipline will desolve some.

Think out of the box....How about the first woman boys coach at Campbell? Paula Buser

Anyone hearing anything? I sure hope that someone is in place before school ends. There is a lot of work needed to be done in June to implement a new system.

As a fan of a competing school of CCHS, I LOVE that idea.

What about that little italian guy who was at Silver Grove about four years ago?

Tony B. He is an assistant now at his alma mater, Newport Central Catholic. Whoever the head man is he will have to bring some assistants because I don't believe the remaining staff will be returning.

Another huge mistake IMO if this is true? Enzwiller (sp) and Maddy are both fine coaches.

Plus someone to coordinate open gyms, summer leagues, etc. I think it is a disservice to the kids if they wait too long.

Good thing is Coaches Maddy and Enzweiler have agreed to continue the current summer schedule. At least, until the replacement is hired.

The new coach would help himself a lot if he kept these two on board. They know the boys and it will help smooth the transition.

If the powers that be truly feel that a new direction is needed, then it would make no sense to bring back 2/3 of the old regime. These guys have been around for about three different head coaches, if the administration honestly feels that the previous coaches have done a poor job, then they have to look at the common denominators. After years of service, either these guys are qualified to be the head man or they need to cut bait.

Both coach Maddy and coach Enzweiler are class acts and will do what ever they feel is in the best interest of the kids. Even if a new coach would possibly bring in new assistants, they will still do their part to develop the Camel players. I hope they get to stay on with a new hire, or one of them gets the job?
