Cordero is one of the most overpaid, overrated closers in the game. What am I missing? What are you missing? The fact that I pointed out the Reds staff was 7th in ERA last year. If you're statisfied with Gomes/Nix in LF, then what the Reds produce this season, mediocrity, will be suffice for you. Again, 35 bombs/90+ ribbies. I'll take that every year from my LF.

You can't look at his stats last year and use them to predict his career. He had hernia surgery mid season and his numbers fell drastically along with his weight. I believe he lost 15-20 pounds and was extremely weak. He also had some off the field issues that probably affected him. My point is don't look at his numbers last year and base anything off of it.

Actually, they made it to the minor leagues in relatively the same amount of time. Rasmus was drafted 28th in the 2005 draft (out of high school). He played 147 games in 2009. Drew Stubbs was drafted 8th overall in the 2006 draft (out of Texas). He played 42 games in 2009. Rasmus hit .251 in 147 games, with 16 HR, 52 RBI and 3 SB. His OBP was .307. In 480 Career at-bats, Rasmus has a career average of .256 and OBP of .315. Rasmus was 23 when he made it to the big leagues. Drew Stubbs hit .267 in 42 games, with 8 HR, 17 RBI & 10 SB. His OBP was .323. In 185 career at-bats, Stubbs has a career average of .270, with an OBP of .328. Stubbs was about to turn 25 when he made it to the big leagues.

Larson put up better minor league numbers, and made it to the majors before Werth did. My point is that it's way too early to know who will end up with a better major league career. To say you know which one will based on minor league numbers is mere speculation.

Regardless, he played in 147 games & had 474 at-bats.

You may very well be right, but also don't look at the minor league numbers and base anything off of it.
