Matt Holliday hits a solo shot. He's 2-3 today.

Tied 1-1 top 7.

Pretty informed speculation. Rasmus has put up better minor league numbers and is two years younger.

How many times have I seen you say that minor league numbers don't always translate to ML numbers.

Stubbs hit for a better average, had a better OBP, had half has many homers, and stole 7 more bases than Rasmus in 294 less AB's last year.

I would think a one run lead would suffice, considering the Reds have one of the best bull pens in the major leagues.:sssh:

It would but I was afraid of something like that happening.

Yep, the Cards won't be on the down side of a 1-0 game very often with that lineup.

1-1 game in the bottom of the 7th.

2 outs, and Ryan Hanigan singles.

So it's 1-1, bottom of the 7th, and Arroyo's spot is due up. Surely we'll use a pinch hitter, right? No. Bronson grounds out. Inning over.

Arroyo only at 90 pitches, looking pretty darn good today and we have seen the bullpen the first two games.

Bronson goes 8, bring in Coco to get it to the bottom of the 9th if need be. I have no problem with it.

Pinch hit Owings, Francisco, or Nix for Arroyo.

Put Owings, Rhodes or Masset in to pitch the 8th.

You just know Pujols is going to homer here.

1 man on, 2 outs. Arroyo walks Pujols to get to Holliday.

Holliday flies out to RF. Arroyo gets out of it unscathed.

1-1 headed to the bottom of the 8th.

Imagine that, don't pitch to Pujols and things work out.

Fat Albert 1-7 since the first game of the series

Not if you walk him. :p

Hopefully other Reds pitchers will take note.

He's overrated.

Probably should be sent down to work on his swing
