That's all fine and dandy, but that has nothing to do with how they'll perform this season. A couple of those guys had career years that they're highly unlikely to duplicate this season.

To your point the pen had one inning and they did their job. No more, no less. They won, that's what really matters. :thumb: Yes Bronson should get the credit. Was just havin fun with HT, was extoling the vitues of the pen, but then was asking for insurance runs to hold the win. All in good fun.:thumb:

I have no problem with that, but if we can agree that having the Arroyo and Bailey that we saw for the last half of last year, and an unknown in Mike Leake as being optimistic for an improvment in the win total from last season.

I think now that he's been in the NL for a couple seasons hitters will be able to figure him out with relative ease. Herrera just doesn't impress me in the least. I don't think he has the stuff to keep up his success from last year.

So Masset has a ERA of 2.95 in 155 1/3 innings since coming over from the AL, improving each year since coming over in 2007, and the hitters are suddenly going to easily figure him out this year? I'm not sure what logic you are using.
