March 22, 201016 yr Well there was one coach who was so mad at Coach Cal he wanted to kill him and then tried to. With his bare hands. So I guess the Owl coach did not like Coach Cal. That was a great call Alabama Larry, and the best college basketball press conference ever.:taz: Cal is a scam and everyone knows it, or two years ago were you all saying what a great coach he was when he blew the finals while at Memphis against Kansas by not fouling at the end of regulation and letting the Jayhawks drain the three, and then KU won the title in OT.

What a scam? Are you serious? Those are very strong words for a coach that's just won 30 games for the 5th straight season, don't you think? Is Stansbury considered a good coach in your opinion? He fouled, what happened to his team? Doesn't always work, does it? Best coaching move is the one that works, don't you agree? Last time I checked, Cal wasn't missing the FT's in that game. I would be willing to bet I know who your favorite team is...........on the following dates: 3/12-Alabama 3/13-Tennessee 3/14-Miss. St. 3/18-E. Tenn. St. 3/20-Wake Forest 3/25-Cornell 3/27-WVU/Washington Keep hatin' brother, it will eat you alive.

So Stansbury probably made a good call. Just saying.
March 23, 201016 yr John Wall also committed a lane violation to get the rebound. So Stansbury probably made a good call. Just saying. Thought you might bring that one up. Wall didn't even get the rebound, and that's why it wasn't called, the refs were right not to make that call, it was not relevant to the play. Perhaps the Miss. St. player on the block should have put his rearend on Patterson and not let Pat beat him to the ball. Perhaps Laettner should have been ejected. Woulda, shoulda, coulda.

You always make the call. And Laettner should have been ejected. You have no way to say how it affects the play because we'll never know. It was the right call to make UK committed a lane violation and got away with it, that's bottom line. If you call it 1 minute in the game you call it with less than 1 minute left, so it should have been called.

March 23, 201016 yr A violation is a violation ... and it should have been called. And the bunny hop from Vernardo earlier shouldn't have been called???? Someone told me that there's missed calls in every game.
March 23, 201016 yr And the bunny hop from Vernardo earlier shouldn't have been called???? Someone told me that there's missed calls in every game.Every violation should be called. My comment was simply disputing the notion that a violation doesn't need to be called if it doesn't affect the play.
March 23, 201016 yr I think that it is somewhat safe to make this statement since Coach Cal didn't win the SEC Coach of the Year. He was pretty deserving.
