Did Cousins punch a South Carolina fan following the loss?

Featured Replies

Several people say they saw it, and the man that got punched called a radio station... What else do you want?

Really? In the pro sports forum there's a thread about Marvin Harrison shooting a guy w/ a gun he owned and there wasn't enough proof for people to say he was guilty. This is really all you need for proof. A few people and a radio call is good enough for you???

Yep and Deuce has lost all respect for anyone supporting Boogie

Who am I kidding... Everybody that says they saw the punch is lying. My bad.

Here are some things I haven't seen in this thread yet...

Have those posters weighed in with their opinions yet? How many of them are UK fans?

How many people have said they saw the punch?

Listen to the radio link posted earlier in the thread...

Maybe I'm wearing my blue shades, but I listened to that guy on the radio. My first thought is there is no way that guy took two shots from Cousins and stayed on his feet. I can totally buy the chicken wing and maybe a shove, but if you are small enough to run into the middle of somebody's back and he clocks you twice, you are seeing stars. You don't go on your merry way and continue to celebrate. Also, how do you not see him before you run into him? My nephew is 6'10" and there is no way you don't see him coming from a mile away. I'm just not buying the whole story the way the guy is telling it. I'm sure something happened, but he's riding his 15 minutes as far as it will take him. JMHO

I'm sorry guys, I reacted in the heat of the moment and let my emotions get the best of me. :thumb:

Did you listen to the radio report? Have you watched the clip?

The kid called in and said Cousins jacked him with an uppercut, this kid just said that's okay, we just beat Kentucky? If Cousins is actually throwing an uppercut to the face, don't you think it'd hurt a little more? Stun him? Knock him down? No, instead he said it's okay and went on his merry way.

I just watched the end of the game. A lot of people were storming the court right where Kentucky was walking off the court. Cousins and the rest of the team walked over to their bench and were walking off the court, while the people storming the court were plowing over the bench. It does appear like Cousins may have pushed someone, but there were not any punches thrown.

It happens at the far top right of the screen. You could see Cousins walking away after some people fell over the chairs that were being used by Kentucky's bench. Patterson was behind him and Orlando Antiqua grabbed Patterson's jersey

After watching it close to 10 times, it looks like the people who "grabbed" Cousins were right behind him. When the crowd of people stormed to the court, they bumped Cousins, who stepped back into the people (UK Staff) behind him. They kinda put their arms on him as if to say "Keep walking." One of the 3 people was a police officer.

A guy bumped into him trying to get through the crowd, and he upper-cutted him. Yeah, I've never done that.

There were thousands of people running at him, he had just lost a conference road game to an unranked team, and he had arguably the best game of his short career, you think his emotions were in check? I don't like that he threw an additional punch after the first elbow, and he should be suspended for it. But as I said before, the same would have probably happened if it had any other player in the country during that situation, not just Cousins.

Let's also throw out there that he is 19 years old, he's not a professional athlete, while he's not a kid, he's certainly not an adult either. I don't know if your personal bias in regards to Kentucky athletics have anything to do with your opinion, but what would you say if it were another player?

This should be huge news, why is Espn and the local Lexington stations not covering this?hmmmm..

I would love to see video. If he didn't throw a punch, then he didn't throw a punch. I'll apologize if it comes out he didn't deck the guy. He still pushed a fan, when none of his other team mates did. There is a consistent theme with Cousins, whether or not some want to admit it or not.

Thousands?

One thing that tells me that there is no validity to this is that Jerry Tipton didn't have a front page article about the incident. You can be sure if it had happened he would have.

All of his other team mates where in the exact same position as him... Why didn't they react like that?
