What Would, Or Wouldn't, You Eat?

Featured Replies

I've eaten some nasty stuff but I couldn't eat a rodent or a pet kind of animal like a dog, cat, or horse.

I've eaten some nasty bugs and evena cocoon once. Gross, but don't bet me that I won't do something (unless it's once of the things above).

Several years ago, I had the opportunity to travel to South Africa. At dinner one night the waiter suggested "monkey gland sauce." My husband, who has no fear ordered it on his meat.

When it arrived, my husband marveled at the great flavor. He asked the waiter what the ingredients were. He replied, "tomatoes, onion, peppers, spices" Basically, it was salsa! A little joke on the tourists!

So much for living dangerously. I do have to give him credit though. He really thought he was ordering monkey glands. :puke:

I would never try sushi. Anyone like turtle? Good stuff.

So, how many on here have watched the "Bizarre Foods" show on the Travel Channel with Andrew Zimmern?

Love sushi

Sushi, check. Turtle, check.

What I have (and would) eat:

Rabbit

Squirrel

Deer

Alligator

Crawfish

Octopus

Pretty much all seafood

Beef

Pork

Turkey

Sushi, but I don't like it.

Frog legs

Liver, Chicken and Beef

Tongue-don't like it

Heart-Chicken yes, Beef no

Gizzards-Chickent, don't like 'em

What I would not eat

Brains

Horse

Dog

Cat

Other than that, I'm not particular for the most part about WHAT I eat, but how it's prepared.

I've had lamb and pig testicles. I assume horse fries is the same.

Not I...I'm sure they are good but I just can't do it...:D

Really gross!

I'll try anything once. I've ate everything coming and going...squirrels to possum to coon.

I will try most anything. Well, maybe not most. I have never had squirrel, rabbit, or kangaroo. They top my list of things I want to try.

I have tried escargot, caviar, and eel. Not a fan of any of that.

I would never eat another human no matter how he/she was cooked!

I would eat anything at least once.

I'll take "Things Jeffrey Dahmer Would Say" for $1,000, Alex.

In 2008, on a hike in the rainforest in Belize, our guide was pointing out ants that ate only a certain type of minty plant and told us that the ants actually tasted like mints if eaten. He then invited each member of the group to eat some of the ants. My son and I popped several of them in our mouths and they literally tasted like breath mints.

Would they spark in your mouth, too?
