I've eaten Grasshopper , chocolate covered ants , elephant meat , alligator , bison , . I wont eat parsley .

I've tried a lot of different things. I'm absolutely crazy for froglegs.

I love deer and elk.

I've also tried antelope, bear and buffalo.

Alligator was good, oppossum & raccoon not so much.

I like small game like squirrel and rabbit if fixed right.

I've never tried rattlesnake, but I would like to.

I've eaten shark and swordfish and mahi mahi, but not octopus.

I don't think I'd ever try sushi of any kind, just doesn't appeal to me.

Ive eaten grasshoppers and ants and snails.

I have tried quail and pheasant and duck.

I ate a night crawler once on a dare, tasted like a mixture of snot and dirt.

Ate a snail in the shell on a dare. Tasted like snot and egg shells. My relatives ate anything during the depression. Coons and possums were top shelf table fare. Dad had a good possum dog in the 30's and was often offered big money for it. I know 2 teenage sisters that will fight over squirrel brains. Fry them in the skull with your other squirrel parts. Crack them open like a walnut and scoop out the brains with a teaspoon. No kidding!

I have eaten Tennessee Opossum and even have a good recipe. I would not MAKE it but I'll eat it.

Had rattlesnake once. Not my favorite.

Eaten some squirrel, in fact, its a staple of Kentucky Burgoo.

I ate a 'grub' one time as part of a survivalist course out west, will not ever do that again, and in fact I draw the line at insectoid 'proteins.'

Many of you indubitably recall "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom' dinner at the maharajah's palace. Won't eat "chilled monkey brain," "eel surprise," or any dish in which the eyes have been disattached for my gastronomical pleasure.

The weirdest thing I guess I've ate is horse. Not too bad...but I prefer beef. I would not try dog under any circumstance.

:puke:I ate pig brains once in Italy. My husband thought it was some kind of potato salad dish. Surprised to say we are still married.

I would eat NONE of that! All of it makes my stomach turn! :puke::puke:

Just give me a slab of beef from the cow!!

 You should try goat, it's really quite good. Ostrich is also really tasty!

Not on purpose, but I think I ate one on accident riding my bike. Along with a few others over the years. Can't say I've ever had much desire to eat insects. Chocolat covered ants is the only insect I've ever tried on purpose.

Other than that, there's not much I wouldn't or haven't tried at least once. Grew up in a very culturally and ethnically diverse city. Have had things from virtually every countries cusine(or lack there of).

These are the things I could think of right now.

Reptiles/amphibians - snake, turtle, gator, iguana, snails, and frog

Fish - Shark, tuna, ahi, mahi, grouper, perch(ocean and fresh), bass (ocean and fresh), swordfish, marlin, pike, walleye, grunt, tilapia, blowfish, eel, snapper, bluefish, catfish, trout, salmon, pompano, permit, croaker, bluegill, snook, amberjack, skate, musky, crappie (I'm sure there's others)

Other things from the water - Crab(Blue, King, Snow, Dungeness, Lump, Stone), oysters, clams, mussells, crawdads, shrimp, lobster, scallops, squid, octopus, conch,

Big critters - Cow, horse, bear, moose, elk, goat, sheep/lamb, deer, buffalo, armadillo, pig, boar, kangaroo

Little critters - rabbit, squirrel, muskrat, oppossum, groundhog, raccoon

Feathered critters - chicken, quail, grouse, dove, squab, turkey, ostrich, duck, goose, guinea hen, cornish hen

I'd eat just about anything if I had too.

I was just going to ask if anyone has had armadillo. So, how was it?

:puke:Was a Mess sargent in the army. 1 friday a month was soul food supper. The main course was always Chitlins (Hog bowels). They came in 5 gallon buckets. !st stretch them out on a long table. 2.Slit them open. 3.scape out the mucas and slimy manure. 4.cut into small pieces 5. boil in steam kettle and allow water to overflow so that the foaming hog poop can escape. this must be done several times. 6. When all signs of hog excrement have boiled over, drain water and deep fry. Serve with black eyed peas and cornbread. Yum Yum! Warning! your kitchen will smell like boiled feces so if the smell of hog excrement turns you off don't attemt it!

I was just going to ask if anyone has had armadillo. So, how was it?

I found it to be very similar to rabbit. Mild flavor, not tough, but kind of stringy. I would eat it again. Had it at a fair bbq in El Paso.

This sentence would pretty much be a deal breaker if I saw it in a recipe. :eyeonyou:

I've traveled to various countries and I've eaten most items off of these lists below. The only thing I have ever turned down was a mud-puppy.
