I'm looking over their results and I don't really see a quality win. Throw in home losses to UNCC and Western Carolina and a loss at UNLV and its not looking great for them. They do have some close losses to very good teams. They are also in a very good conference. Overall they are 12-6. How many more wins do they need?

Depending on who there next wins come against will determine a lot to me. Louisville is a serious bubble team and right now they could fall either way.

14 more wins gets them in for sure.

UofL needs to get several quality wins. If they don't they will have to win the Big East Tournament.

I'm saying "No." for today. If they come up with back-to-back wins at Seton Hall and vs. Cincinnati this week, I'll feel a little better, but they still lack a signature win. Either of the games last week would have done it and they blew leads and missed chances. It doesn't look good right now.

I believe they will. But, they obviously have to start winning some of these close games against Big East competition.

They're not a lock, but only because the Big East is so tough, IMO. The majority of their opponents are very capable of beating them, so its possible they could struggle. I believe they're good enough, and they'll do enough to get in.

Losing early with all the injuries hurt the Cards early on. However, they still have an RPI of 36 and a SOS of 5. Both will continue to climb assuming they win.

I think that UofL needs to finish 10-8 in the Big East to make the tournament. They are going to have an high RPI and SOS. To finish 10-8, they will have to go 7-6 down the stretch.

Choking those two games against top rank foes this past week hurts. Had they won against either one of those two if would of really helped their resume. It's gonna be tough, but they have been playing better as of late. Two important games this week, at Seton Hall is a big one. They need to find a way to win that game.

No, senior guards got to be leaders and hit your free shots at the end of games.

Despite earlier injuries, they need a couple of signature victories to offset their non-signature losses in pre-conference. Nothing wrong with the UNLV loss. Heck, I thought it would have been an upset had they won that game.

I'll say yes.

I know this has been addressed before but does the selection committee look at close losses to good teams and injuries during the selection process ?

For some reason I thought they strictly looked at wins and losses, not the amount of points you won or lost by ?
