Congratulations to Highlands on their spectacular season. Finishing 3rd in the nation is a heck of an accomplishment and hopefully a sign that KY High School football as a whole will start to garner even more nationwide respect.

Not claiming to be the expert here, but as someone who played against the '98 team, and somebody who's been following NKY football for over 20 years, this team was easily better than the '98 team.

Many of these senior players boarded a plane as 9 year olds and represented 1 of 4 teams in Kentucky to play in the national AAU basketball tournament in Florida. As 5th graders you knocked of a Dakota Euton and Chad Jackson led basketball team; the only Kentucky team to beat this group in 2 years.

 

As 6th graders lost in the finals of the 6th grad state middle school basketball championship to a Rose Hill team led by Dakotah Euton.

 

As 8th graders u won the 8th grade middle school Kentucky state championship. In baseball u won the Division I city of Cincinnati Knothole Championship.
