December 1, 200916 yr There may have been a thread on this before, but I have no clue. What do you call it? Pop or Soda? I've seen Soda Pop. I'm a "pop" person myself.
December 1, 200916 yr It's all coke around here. There's lower-case coke and upper-case Coke. They have limited overlap, 2-3 products.

December 1, 200916 yr Ive never heard anyone from Bell Co. say give me a soda. Its definitley pop where I'm from.
December 1, 200916 yr Soda Pop for me. Also a few friends of mine call an adult beverage "brown pop". That is when it is in a bottle. :sssh:
December 1, 200916 yr We called it either soda or soda pop growing up in Maryland. Most everyone around here (Maysville) calls it pop. Around Atlanta, coke or co-cola. Pepsi is a 4-letter word there.
December 1, 200916 yr I called it pop until I moved to Alaska for a while, then I had to start calling it soda, because that is what everyone there called it. So now I call it Soda Pop.

They'll usually ask if Pepsi is okay if they don't serve coke. Otherwise, they know what you mean. When referring to all carbonated beverages, we generally use the term "soft drink."
December 1, 200916 yr I said Pop, but it may be soft drink. I don't drink caffeine unless it has some bourbon in it, so it's hard for me to really know which one I tend to use more, because I rarely ever use them.
December 1, 200916 yr I find myself calling it pop all the time now, but growing up everything cold was called a beverage. That included everything from iced water to beer.
