December 3, 200916 yr In Owsley County everyone calls it pop. Except for the locals who migrated to Ohio, Michigan, etc, and have moved back to the mountains after a few years. They try to impress us with their new dialect/vocabulary. I remember a cousin from Cleveland visited my family when I was around 10 years old, and he said, "Let's go buy a soda." I didn't know what he was talking about.
