Fellas, I don't mean to imply that any of you guys are stupid...but I realize these posts are sometimes misinterpreted. I assume you guys know that JH has film on Highlands. I'm pretty sure they've taken a look at it. I think JH knows exactly what they're getting into. Otherwise Big Dale would've already received the trophy in the mail. I don't think you're going to intmidate anybody with public blog sites or tradition...not at this point in the season. JH may very well get blown out, just as others who've come before the Bluebirds. :isurrender: Maybe not:D

 

Are you sure they're watching Highlands films, his presence in NKY is certainly large because he's done so much at Highlands, but I dunno that I've ever heard someone refer to coach Mueller as "Big Dale".:lol:

I too, just watched some film on JH and I have one word to describe the Dawgs, "elusive". I agree with TDY, everyone needs to quit the intimiation garbage on here. This is going to be one heck of a ballgame folks. Anyone who knows me probably should know by now that I dont post predictions or stats and the rest of those things. However, I do know a good team when I see one and JH is a very good team. GO BIRDS.

I received word from very reliable sources and game tape viewers and they say HHS will have all they want with JH. They are, and I quote "very very very fast" and only have "1 or 2" guys playing both ways. Looks like a mirror image of HHS.

 

I'm so glad the boys from HHS don't read this stuff on here about how they will scare, which I think is the biggest childish comment ever on BGP. Grow up people on these comments. Geez, please stop making the "JH don't know what they are in for" comments. :puke:

I'm hoping that is because they are that good and maybe after next week, they can claim they are the best ever. But until then, make it stop. He's obviously a good coach, I think he'd be a good manager honestly. I think just about every year they have "possibly the fastest team they've ever had":lol: I honestly love reading the season previews just to look for that line from Coach Mueller, the best part is that they're always so fast that you kinda think he may be right. Highlands has a very efficient conditioning program I'll give them that.

Everyone: the personal comments about each other need to stop!

If your tight end is the biggest passing threat for JH ,or the QB's favorite target,he is in for a real treat. Highlands LBer's are big and fast and hit extremely hard. If and when the TE for JH gets past them , then he has to deal with the D backs , by the way, they also hit like LBer's. During a lot of games this season in the second half, the recievers arms don't strech out as far ,and always looking for the big hit that is coming instead of catching the ball and therefor dropping the pass. As far as TE's goes , Ryle has a signed D1 TE, look at his stats from both games against HHS. (Tate Nichols ) :lol::lol:

 

Are you bored? I posted my prediction on a prediction thread and you think I"m childish? I guess I have to explain my post to you because apparently you don"t understand it. They are saying how good their tight end is and I"m telling them what HHS has done to other tight ends in the past!!!! There is nothing childish about my post and if upsets you that much , maybe you are the one that needs to grow up. As far as HHS players hitting hard,everyone has heard and JH even have it on tape . I think you are close TD. This game is going to be a LOT closer than a lot of people are thinking it will be. I know JH's schedule was not as strong as some people wanted it to be, but JH still beat a very good BG team last week. They have the speed and depth to match up very well with Highlands.

 

They run a very diverse offense that will prevent Highlands from focusing on just the run or just the pass. In many ways their O is very similar to Highlands O, they just run their misdirection plays out of a different offensive set than Highlands does. They have a very talented qb and very talented receivers, including a tall TE. Our defensive secondary is going to face the toughest challenge it has faced all year (and yes, I'm including X's O in that assessment), for JH runs mis-direction play fakes extremely well. Our DBs hesitate for just a bit on the play fakes, and they will find receivers behind them.

 

Their D is not real big but very, very quick and fast. They get off blocks well and fly to the football. Does that sound familiar to another successful defense that Highlands folks should be familiar with? Our offensive linemen are going to have to be very quick this week and really move their feet to stay with their assignments. If the assignments get away from them, our O linemen are going to have to run with them and hope to re-engage on the block as our RB makes a cut back. When we pass block, we are really going to have to move quickly to stop the outside pressure. JH's defensive linemen are quick and I'd expect to see a lot of blitzing from the lbers, both inside and out. We have to continue to work on improving ball security. We've done better recently, but ball security must be a big priority again this week.

 

This is going to be one heck of a good football game. Turnovers, penalties and special team play may very well determine the outcome of this game.

I encourage all the Birds fans to get their hands on some tape of JH prior to making a whole lot of bold predictions. I don't think there is any such thing as a "trap game" in the state championship game. That implies that they are looking past John Hardin to the next game. There is no next game. Highlands just needs to do what they have done all year. Any team that is undefeated (and both teams are) at this time of year is capable of winning.

For all the film watchers. Have you ever been to a horse race and watched a horse win by 10 lengths and say, "wow what a horse." After the race you learned the horse ran in a $5000 claiming race. You watch the horse run again a couple of weeks of later in a stakes race and he finishes near the end. I know it’s desirable to be politically correct on here and I appreciate that, but the realities are is that John Hardin hasn't lined up across a Schlosser, Combs, Beck, Grubbs, Meyer, and Welz. They haven't faced runners like Collinsworth, Bardo, and my favorite Fennell. And oh yea and young inexperienced QB who can throw it about 60 yards. John Hardin hasn't faced a linebacker like Brandon Roller who will knock your teeth out and offer his hand to pick you up off the ground. Some say he does that because he's such a nice boy. I say he does it because he can't wait to do it again. John Hardin hasn't faced corners like Abner and Bruns who make you pay for every catch or a safety like Rosenhagen. Most importantly John Hardin hasn't faced the so very many that I failed to mention. The many who will have given the last 11 months of their lives to get on that field Friday night for one play and say it was worth of every bit of it. So Highland’s fans don't get to enamored with tape other than seeing what formations the other team may use. Instead remember who your personnel are and the dedication they've demonstrated over nearly the last year. This team has played and beaten the very best. I assure all that there will be a Highlands victory Friday night. By how much? Who cares! If you ever start to doubt or waiver just say to yourself "Roller, Collinsworth," and then you'll quickly come back to reality.
