That we are glad to hear, but this is the little engine that could....I sure hope it is a game as the 6 classes certainly has watered down competition and we certainly want a challenge in the finals. Hopefully, your team will make us a believer, if not rest assured you will know why this team gets such support. Yes, I am another one that believes when you win say little and when you lose say less. Birds stay the course finish what you set out to do.....!:thumb:

Partly cloudy and cold, with gametime temp in low 30's. Would take that with a grain of salt. Our weather forecasters are pretty bad, and I usually defer to Radar the weather dog's forecast. He's really smart for a border collie.

I think you are close TD. This game is going to be a LOT closer than a lot of people are thinking it will be. I know JH's schedule was not as strong as some people wanted it to be, but JH still beat a very good BG team last week. They have the speed and depth to match up very well with Highlands.

 

They run a very diverse offense that will prevent Highlands from focusing on just the run or just the pass. In many ways their O is very similar to Highlands O, they just run their misdirection plays out of a different offensive set than Highlands does. They have a very talented qb and very talented receivers, including a tall TE. Our defensive secondary is going to face the toughest challenge it has faced all year (and yes, I'm including X's O in that assessment), for JH runs mis-direction play fakes extremely well. Our DBs hesitate for just a bit on the play fakes, and they will find receivers behind them.

 

Their D is not real big but very, very quick and fast. They get off blocks well and fly to the football. Does that sound familiar to another successful defense that Highlands folks should be familiar with? Our offensive linemen are going to have to be very quick this week and really move their feet to stay with their assignments. If the assignments get away from them, our O linemen are going to have to run with them and hope to re-engage on the block as our RB makes a cut back. When we pass block, we are really going to have to move quickly to stop the outside pressure. JH's defensive linemen are quick and I'd expect to see a lot of blitzing from the lbers, both inside and out. We have to continue to work on improving ball security. We've done better recently, but ball security must be a big priority again this week.

 

This is going to be one heck of a good football game. Turnovers, penalties and special team play may very well determine the outcome of this game.

I sure hope its a game as well. As for your team support, your post makes it sound like the support comes from winning...kinda like a bandwagon....right? Correct me if I'm off base. If you truly believe in "saying little when you win, and saying less when you lose", then why post anything at all...considering they have yet to play? :idunno:
