EasyPro, just tell that one guy that you know to see if he can convince JH to mail in the trophy to Highlands. With their speed and talent they could beat the Indianpolis Colts. We're playing against the greatest Bluebird team in history. Heck, if they fielded just the awesome talent that they have on this message board, they'd beat JH by 3 TD's. We'd be lucky to be water boys for Ryle, and Dixie Heights, and Simon Kenton, what with all their glorious championship football history.

No, the question is: is Ft. Thomas going to walk out there with their tradition and history and scare or intimidate the JH players? I dunno. I don't really think so. Noone down here in Central Ky. questions Ft. Thomas' tradition, history, talent on the field this year, or overwhelming odds of winning this game.

 

What I do question is the chest-puffing arrogance of their fans on this board, and I do hope that Dingle and Savoy and the rest stick a needle in it. Maybe it won't happen, who knows. I know that St. X folks were predicting the same type of garbage over Greenwood last week and the Gators nearly stuck it in and broke it off.

1998....You were close because they got their average that day. The 1998 HHS team averaged 52plus points a game.

The year was 1998 and the score was actually 56-7!

 

However the largest margin of victory that I could see was in the 2A 2002 Championship game where Breathitt County defeated Corbin 51-0

 

Remember, HHS margin of victory was done before the watering down of the KHSAA Football Championship Games!

They need to go back to 4 classes..6 classes is an absolute joke..HHS could of scored 80 pts if they had wanted to Friday night.. JOKE!!!!!

As a Birds fan, I expect John Hardin to be extremely competitive. Should be a great game and I can guarantee that the Birds will not take John Hardin lightly.

I have not seen Hardin play, but would suspect a rather thorough Bluebird victory. The weak schedule Hardin played this year is in part thanks to our watered down 6 class system. Pulaski County would have been the 4th place team in the Northern Kentucky 5A District. Johnson Central was a legit team who ran into a loaded Bluebird team. It's a big deal for John Hardin to get to the finals, too bad they're running into a buzz saw.

Highlands is Highlands. Call it arrogance or confidence or whatever the haters want to call them. The bottom line is HHS does not have to explain themselves to anyone escpecially online bloggers. I can assure you that Coach Mueller and his men will not discriminate regardless of size of school, record of school, strength of schedule, history of program, size of kids, and so on and so on. Highlands can not and will not overlook their opponent regardless of the way some run their mouths on here. Take a long look at most of the remarks and who they may come from and that will be the real minority of the Highlands knowleagble faithful. And if that was Highlands Team mentality then they would not be eyeing number 19. Call that arrogance or whatever you want but that is how Highlands rolls. GO BIRDS!!!!!
