JH followers: any interest in a "home & home" series with HHS? As discussed last year with Johnson Central and Whitley County posters, HHS is always looking for opponents (witness the 2 games against Ryle on the schedule this year). E-town is shorter trip than both of those programs.

 

Would address those posters concerned with "schedule strength" and give both programs the opportunity to improve.

 

I know "schedule-making" is an intricate process with lots of moving parts. Maybe someone with an early season "bowl" format in Lexington or vicinity will try to match these 2 programs.

 

Just a thought.

I think JH is going to be a heck of a test for the Birds. I don't care what their schedule was, for the most part they cruised like a good team should. They have speed and don't have to play many both ways. They beat a very good team in BG. I'm hearing the same arguments against JH that I've heard from Cincinnati fans about HHS and their level of competition.

 

I have confidence in the Birds but no way this is going to be an easy win. Where I think HHS has the biggest edge is the championship game experience our seniors and juniors have from the past 2 years.

Excellent point. IF the 'Birds were to get down a score or even two, big IF I know, but IF it were to happen, this team is an experienced group and will not panic. On the other hand, WHEN() JF is down 2 scores, who knows what thoughts might go through their young players mind and how they will react.

This JH team is very, very fast and very big at some positions. Their defensive line especially. QB Dingle is a year 3 starter and it shows. I feel BG had an outstanding defense this year and during the first quarter last week, they absolutely stunned us and knocked us on our heels. Adjustments were made in the 2nd & 3rd quarters and BG got back in the game but the better team pulled out the W.

Will definitely be at this game---should be a good one.
