Exactly! If it was a less successful team showing this confidence, they would be saying we have great fans.

RADCLIFF — John Hardin coach Mark Brown can just shake his head and chuckle when he thinks back to the program’s first season.

 

John Hardin, which opened its doors in 2001, fielded a football team, but the newly-formed Bulldogs, comprised of former Central Hardin and North Hardin students, didn’t have any seniors and they didn’t have a home field to call their own. When he took the job, Brown was hoping to play a junior varsity schedule for the first year. That didn’t happen, though.

 

The Bulldogs struggled through a 3-7 season. They lost their first game to Warren East, 61-14. John Hardin’s three victories came against teams with a combined record of 4-28.

 

How far the John Hardin program has come in nine years. The Bulldogs (14-0) will play Fort Thomas Highlands (14-0) for the Class 5-A championship Friday night at 8 at Western Kentucky’s Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.

Better to respect and over-estimate the opponent, and have my predictions wrong, than disrespect and under-estimate the opponent and be miserably disappointed.

 

I don't feel I need to prove my knowledge of the game by making accurate predictions on the outcome of the game.:bunny:
