I think you will be surprised at the speed John has come Friday. It is one of our strengths. Go Dawgs! :ylsuper:

Partly cloudy and cold, with gametime temp in low 30's. Would take that with a grain of salt. Our weather forecasters are pretty bad, and I usually defer to Radar the weather dog's forecast. He's really smart for a border collie.

 

Of course here, but Border Collies are ranked as the most intelligent dogs.

I've seen both teams play in person. Highlands is quick, but JH can match that. Size is what's going to be Johns undoing. Speed isn't the issue. Cant wait for the game though!!

Does anyone have the actual address of the stadium? For the gps!

Can anyone provide directions please. I know that you take I-71 to I-65, but was a little unclear from there. Also heard that the game will be broadcast on the Highlands website by the real estate man, salad dressing man and the pool cleaner. Hopefully all of the technical glitches are out of the way and they are successful in this endeaver.

I have no firsthand knowledge, but I would doubt that the real estate/salad dressing/pool cleaning men would be broadcasting. It's one thing to broadcast from the friendly confines of your own school (and get it to work), but to do it on the road.... (again..I may be wrong here)

From the north:

From I-65 North (heading south): Take the first Bowling Green exit (exit 28) at the Corvette Plant and Corvette Museum onto the connector road that will take you to US 31-W. Follow the signs for US 31-W South — Bowling Green. Stay on the four-lane US 31-W South (Louisville Road) to the stop light at the bridge over Barren River. 31-W turns left at that stoplight; however, you want to continue straight through the light on Louisville Road which will split into two one-way streets at Sixth Ave. The one-way SW is Adams Street. When the one-way streets merge into the four-lane University Blvd., you will be on the NW corner of the Western Kentucky University campus (railroad on right, WKU on left). Go straight through the first stoplight (at Old Morgantown Road/Dogwood Drive) and the University Parking Structure will be the first building on your left, followed immediately by the back side of E.A. Diddle Arena, the Arena/Stadium Parking Lot and L.T. Smith Stadium.

The week leading up to the State Championship can produce many distractions. How well a team handles the distractions can be essential to how they perform come game time. I've seen all 3 practices this week for the Birds and they were very focused and making good use of their time on the field. At this point of the season the "teaching" is over. It's time to put it all together for the game of their lives. I'm predicting a great game with great effort by both teams. Good luck to the young men on both teams. Yes. I say the same thing each week on here; just change the name of the opponents.

 

Better to respect and over-estimate the opponent, and have my predictions wrong, than disrespect and under-estimate the opponent and be miserably disappointed.

 

I don't feel I need to prove my knowledge of the game by making accurate predictions on the outcome of the game.:bunny:
